ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I guess my main thing was to get blue cruise, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't stuck on the current version with OTA updates being messed up. My truck is set on a scheduled for updates and connected to WiFi. It shows on the Sync 4 screen that everything is up to date when I go to check. I seen other people on different versions etc.

I dont want to risk updating it, if the update will eventually come through.

"In theory" the work they did earlier this month should have gotten your truck ready for and capable of receiving OTA updates. Some folks on here have access to the OTA monitoring system and can tell you if any have tried since then and/or are pending.

Awesome I just spoke with Ford, and they are saying I do have an OTA update available and need to contact the OTA team by phone.

Ha same response, I need that job! They however told me I do have an update, and if it doesn't do it within the schedule time to contact ford dealer.

Many dealers won't apply pending software updates because (I've read) the service dept doesn't get paid for labor to apply updates to a healthy/functional vehicle. It'll be interesting to see what your dealer says. Will either be "sure, pick it up in 3 days" or "you'll have to wait for an OTA update, bye"....

More then likely I’ll have to wait for OTA updates, or risk the FDRS route. With my luck I will brick something guaranteed.

Well I am starting off rough. Cant get my Mongoose cable to activate.
I get server timeout. It reads communicated with cable but server timeout. I tried 10 times typing in my name and info etc. Uniinstalled opus software a few times and reinstalled. when I click activate my device I get a popup window internet required press ok or attempt anyways. and it fails.
I have internet and even tried with hotspot on my phone. Its a new cable (sealed pkg)

I did . Very helpful. I had to use another laptop to activate and got it actviated. Let the fun begin.

I personally would use that "other laptop" to do any programming also. You *don't* want a glitch when updating critical onboard software.
