Merry Christmas everyone. Im about to pull the trigger on the VXDIAG VCX Nano linked on page 1 and was wondering if people were still having the same issues as before with the unit? (network scan, errors, etc) Thank you!
Yes, the nano is creating non trivial issues and has been removed from the approved devices list

I just ordered the mongoose. was thinking the nano but after reading all the issues. Mine is a early build March 2021 Lariat 502a pkg. been stuck with no updates since the trailer back up one.
Cable should be here tomorrow but may wait until the weekend to dive in. DOnt think I can do it in the evening with only a 2 day license. I think I read about 13 hrs or programming.
Well, shoot. That's what I was afraid of. Hard to drop $500 on a work truck...I just want my back up stickers to work...I guess I'll have to just keep doing it the old fashioned way. Thanks for the reply!

The programming can take a while. Just keep in mind that Sunday’s are often used for updating FDRS and it may or may not be useable

I have no idea, I don’t think anyone does. But it would be a shame to waste the $50 like that. Luckily for me I did it over the weekend and had no problems accessing it, but others have

So I updated thru FRDS last night and the only thing pending was an APIM update. Already had the full screen CarPlay so not sure what it did. The only thing I can tell is that the unreal engine I turned on thru Forscan has now reverted back to original. Anybody else in this boat?

YEah the USB can be hit or miss with the IPC. Im excited for you. Its a good feeling to have it all done after so long

Same to you.. Post a pic of the CLuster when you can when BC is working
Probably not the best time for my first time trying it out since it was raining pretty good this morning. But it worked. Feels like it wants to hug the white hash marks whether they are on the drivers side or passenger side. But hopefully the rain holds out this afternoon so I can get a better feel for it.

After FDRS programing completes the "as built" information gets reloaded from the Ford cloud. Depending on when you made the forscan change that information had not propagated up to Ford cloud yet. Therefore it reverted you back, You'll have to go in with forscan and re-enable "unreal engine"

this thread has has a service bulletin which gives the order but usually GWM then APIM. There are APIM dependencies on the GWM.They will need a USB stick; info in this thread.

Yep and it sometimes takes almost a month for the changes you make to make their way back to the mothership asbuilt files to update those. So any short term changes will get overwrote by the current asbuilt on the Ford servers when you update modules.

I usually just go down the list top to bottom if things don't match up with that instruction document. You can see they aren't alphabetical by any means and PCM would usually be the most important, so start their and work your way down. The list likes to move around and change as you update and new updates open up at times, so just work your way through it.

Agreed, I just recently tracked this by downloading my as built every day at 8:00 am it took 27 days to move to the cloud.

UPDATE;
I checked my Motorcraft as built data this morning, as I have done every morning for the last month, and this morning I see that the change I made in Forscan on 11/04 has now propagated up to Ford's servers. I don't know when it uploaded but it had to be sometime between 8:30 am on 12/01/22 and 8:30 am on 12/02/22 . 27 days
