This is promising!!! Anyone else want to give it a shot??? I’m too chicken after killing my lights from the last BCM update a year ago! ?
All right Gents, I decided to rip the band-aid off and install the BCM update. I had NO ISSUES with my XLT 5.0L (302a) & Quad LED's. All the lights work perfectly! This was a relief as last year I did have one of my LED modules get damaged.

I am not saying the quad led issue won't affect anyone else, but it wasn't an issue for me.

This is just an FYI

I did an IPC update in January. Today, with my lane centering off, I turned on my cruise and my lane centering also turn on. I though I may have touched the button, so I turned both off and then the cruise back on and the lane centering also came on. Never notice this happening before. I just have basic lane centering and cruise control.

Anyone know if this is a new thing?

I though I may have touched the button, so I turned both off and then the cruise back on and the lane centering also came on. Never notice this happening before. Same here. Lane Centering seems to be on by default with adaptive cruise. I also don't see a setting to change that behavior. And while the centering seems "better", it almost ran my truck into a series of concrete dividers that were lined up diagonally across a lane closure. Yikes.

It's a bug, but it doesn't cause an issue with logging in. Dismiss the popup and you should be able to log in. At least I can.

Ok. Ya that second screen I get and doesn’t change… I upgraded to 39.6.3 and it’s not moving on after 20 min.

Just as as side note for the previously semi unrelated post, I can confirm that OTA updates still appear to go through with the HP Tuners modified PCM and do not appear to knock out tune changes as I had this priority update go through the day after flashing the new tune, also the MG1 service appears to be entirely software based as there are no signs of the PCM being opened

mach-e just had a new gateway update show up in FDRS and also pushed OTA so it appears that more OTAs should start pushing in the next few weeks. They'd started pushing other not-so-important updates again about 2 weeks ago. Those waiting on traditional OTA pushes (vs us FDRS 'beta testers') for IPMA / APIM may start getting them again.

Several mach-es were also given another free year of bluecruise when it was time for their 3yr $600 offer renewals. This is likely due to ford missing their mark on the original bluecruise update push which is a year late.

I'm getting ready to begin the FDRS updates from the beginning and came across a YouTube video by "the big heavy" showing the process he had to go through to get his truck to read the flash drive. He had to use an ethernet adapter and cable which I hadn't heard of before in what I have read on this thread. Do I need to be prepared with that cable and adapter in addition to the mongoose to complete the process before shipping the mongoose I am borrowing back? Thanks.

I never had to use the Ethernet adapter for my 21

Grab a few different cheapie USB drives (no samsungs!). I have a dozen and the only one that works is chinese cheapie 8GB that came with one of my fiber lasers. Sandisks are reported to work, try getting 2 different styles. I have a sandisk that won't work.

The vehicle fails to read it when it says to plug in the USB to the vehicle after FDRS writes the files from the laptop. You can save time by going for GWM updates first if you have one as they're the smallest file sizes.

he is not doing a standard FDRS, that is a special one for trucks with broken OTA systems, only happened on 2021 Jobs 1 trucks. Hopefully you don’t need that specific one.

I used a pny usb 2 drive that has to be 10 years old. Don’t get caught up on the usb 3 requirement listed, it doesn’t matter other than maybe saying you a minute or two
