I was about to post, the notice in FDRS says that the latest version is 39.6.2, but when you download it from Ford's website and install, it's actually 39.6.3. I don't really care as it's working fine so far this morning (after I reset my password).
Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS FDRS_39-6-3

I noticed this when I saw the little alert thing in the top right corner this morning. I guess I need to install the newer one now. I did the IPMA on my Lightning and Mach-E using the 38.5.7 revision of FDRS about a month ago and had no problems on either of those. This is the IPMA update that includes the newer BC functionality (even though it requires updates to other modules to activate it).

PSA for the people with FDRS applying updates: Yesterday, a dealer was applying updates to a Mach E and when they got to the IPMA, the update wouldn't take and it bricked the module. Today, a member on the Lightning forum reported the dealer tried to update his truck bricked a module. When I checked it, it was the IPMA, too. I am not sure if this is an issue that only affects EV's, but two different vehicles in two days is too much coincidence.

? Luckily I got through mine without issue, took about 2 1/2 hours but all is seemingly fine so far.

@rugedraw Do you know anything about a new CMR update showing up? I have a 23 Platinum. It's sitting in SW Update tab on FDRS. Just noticed it yesterday evening. Currently at module revision MB6T-3G604-CD , not sure what the new update revision is.
My truck isn't showing it yet, but I know about it. A few people have reported some pre-collision errors and driver camera error after 6.13.0 was installed (or the CMR equivalent via FDRS). I think it may be a fix for whatever is causing those errors.

The application manifest for that IPMA update in your available list shows different values for software and strategy than what FDRS says you have now. So I don't think the update took.
Thanks! @Mike G
Any suggestions?

Anyone perform the recent CMR update? I started it ~45 minutes ago, and most of that time has been spent on "F188 ML3T-3G604-XL Internal operation in progress".

I don't know if this IPMA problem was why they updated FDRS only two days after the previous revision was released. But if you initially tried updating with 39.6.2 you may want to try it again after updating to 39.6.3.

I did all of these a couple of weeks ago. Was surprised there was that many in my queue.
Everything went smoothly.

Surely there's not a newer IPMA or CMR than just days ago? ??

I hope so, I have these errors quite often now.

My CMR update failed in FDRS and had to be completed in Forscan this week. Then the subsequent IPMA update bricked the module and luckily was recoverable after the truck shut down.

Did yours end up going alright?!

Nope, currently still dead. I reached out to Jesse and Forscan also want cooperating with the module either. I'm sure it'll be recovered. Fortunately it isn't a critical module and the truck still works. All other updates installed without issue, even the BCM.

There’s not, at least not for the IPMA. The next IPMA update I’m aware of isn’t expected until Q2 of this year.

The successive FDRS releases had nothing to do with the IPMA update from what I can tell. 39.6.2 had an installation irregularity that made you select what kind of license you planned to use to activate the program. 39.6.3 fixed the glitch. The installation irregularity is no longer there and it installs like previous versions.

I guess it was only a matter of time before the update screw ups on the trucks filtered down into the FDRS.....lol
Sigh. Didn't read this forum Friday AM (and until now). FDRS on my F150 Friday AM-PM went fine (6 hours with the Forscan mods). (Glare free is still honked but I think there is a fix on another thread).

Saturday did FDRS on a guys 2023 Lariat here in Austin. His first time on FDRS/Forscan. IPMA config drug into 5 hours. Per advice from an expert aborted. FDRS warns of bad things when you abort (truck undriveable, module dead, etc.) After 2 reboots and network scans IPMA update cleared from FDRS and truck was fine. Rest of updates went as normal.

After a shower/change of underwear I am also back to normal (ok - normal for me you guys).

To the recent college grads doing the programing, the Ford techs using FDRS are now the beta testers. See it way too much now in my daily job. No more test, fix, test, fix test, fix... X 10, then release when no issues are found. Now it is test, fix, test, release... the users will let us know when something doesn't work. And we got our bonus for releasing software on time! SMH!!!
Mostly likely recent college grads in an overcrowded floor of a building in Bangalore.

Moving my post from BCM thread to this thread to catch a wider audience…apologies for the duplicated post…

Headlight Issue...LED quad lights on 2021 XLT 302A.

Purchased in mid-December. On the way home it notified me that it would install an update overnight. The next morning, I noticed my left LED was out. The following weekend, I replaced the LED Control Module. After replacing the module, the LED lit up but 45 min later when I went to leave, it was out again.

After perusing the forum, I thought it might be a bad BCM update. A couple of weeks ago, I updated all modules FDRS and ordered another LED module.

Last night I took the front end apart and replaced the module again. It lit up for about 60 seconds, then went out. However, in troubleshooting I discovered that if I run a LIN initialization, BCM config, PMI, or Enhanced Exterior Light Calibration, the LED will light up for anywhere from 30 second to next restart, then go out again.

Because I can get it to light up on a consistent basis before it goes out again, it's starting to feel like it's more of a software/programming issue, than a LED control module issue.

Any thoughts/feedback?

Had the same thing happen to me with my neighbors 23 XLT. Almost 4 hrs configuration time and had to abort anyway. Never had any issues updating my truck. First time for my neighbor with FDRS and Forscan. Luckily @Jesse-Infotainment was able to fix it.
