It’s really hard to find Windows 10 anymore, and there is a comparability mode to help with legacy programs, but it shouldn’t need it. There are plenty of success stories here on Windows 11.

Ah okay, I remember people saying be sure to stay with windows 10 so thats what I was trying to do.It’s really hard to find Windows 10 anymore, and there is a comparability mode to help with legacy programs, but it shouldn’t need it. There are plenty of success stories here on Windows 11.
Can confirm, been running Windows 11 for a long time and haven't had any troubles with FDRS.It’s really hard to find Windows 10 anymore, and there is a comparability mode to help with legacy programs, but it shouldn’t need it. There are plenty of success stories here on Windows 11.
Same issue here with no other updates showingFired up FDRS yesterday to do the GWM equivalent to OTA 4.3.5. Did everything until I got the "Application Finished" message. Performed network scan, GWM update is still there. Rebooted FDRS and tried again, and again the GWM update is still there after performing the update and another network scan.
Anyone else have issues with the latest GWM update? I still have the latest PCM update there that i haven't done because it will erase my tune and I don't feel like dealing with that for an update that means nothing to me. I don't think one thing has anything to do with the other, but strange that the update does not come off.
Have you checked to see if the software actually installed and it’s just a problem with FDRS failing to report the update to the as-built database? Use FORScan to read the software version directly from the module itself and compare it to the version FDRS is reporting. If FORScan shows a newer version, then the update installed fine and you’ll just need to wait for it to eventually clear from FDRS.Fired up FDRS yesterday to do the GWM equivalent to OTA 4.3.5. I didn't check, no. I did think about that being a possibility, but I had my kids with me last night, so I didn't want to spend to much time tinkering with the truck. I'll do that tonight.Have you checked to see if the software actually installed and it’s just a problem with FDRS failing to report the update to the as-built database? Yea, it's been going around. It was first reported a few weeks ago and is being pushed out OTA, as well. Brings your Sync version up to 23159, but no new goodies in it except and updated owner's manual.Anybody out there with a 23 have a new APIM update?

I've been checking on and off the last couple weeks and was up to date, then saw these two for today. I was in line (update wise) with another 23 truck I was keeping an eye on (we were up to date). However just checked it as well and it only has the IPC update, no APIM.
No thread is needed. If the IPC fails to install the way it is intended, FDRS will ask you if you want to CAN it in and let you know it will take hours. At that point, so you can say yes or no to the CAN option.I have been looking for the thread on doing a IPC update using the can buss. Someone have a thread number?
IF there is no update for a module showing in FDRS that is listed on an OTA, example - 4.2.4 -GWM . I go on line with my truck and select GWM, will the OTA install?
Thanks... understanding more and more each day...No thread is needed. If the IPC fails to install the way it is intended, FDRS will ask you if you want to CAN it in and let you know it will take hours. At that point, so you can say yes or no to the CAN option.
FDRS supersedes OTA. If the update is not on your list of available module updates on FDRS, you would have to wait for it to appear. Sometimes, doing a network scan with FDRS will pull updates from the server that don't show when you search in FDRS with just the VIN. The only way to know if that is the case is by plugging it in and doing a network scan.
Not every update applies to every truck and even having someone remotely check it on forum you could see more or less updates when you are plugged in. If you do choose to update with FDRS, and you update everything to current versions, you would be fully up to date and no OTAs required.I have been looking for the thread on doing a IPC update using the can buss.
