I reverted him back completely and the dtc remained. Who knows. Timing is strange for it to happen. I know the update has been successfully installed for three people I know without issue.

his files are different than mine for my bcm. I have a 5.0 same as tjsparky. So not sure why ford has different bcm files for different v8 trucks I understand why they are different for eco and power boost.

I suggested he disconnect the battery for a little bit to make sure the headlamp module just isn’t freaked out. Two updates one After another and two linbus initializations. Who knows

if it does t come back he will take it in to see about getting it replaced.
He will update us when he knows more

For your file comparison / as built research, you can look at my truck its also a job 1 2021 5.0 litre. Lariat 500a , I think my truck has the same headlamps. My data is completely stock I've made no changes to bcm.

It's a long shot, but I wonder if "overclocking" the DRL brightness to 70% fried something?

Ya it’s a weird one right side is working fine. Left side white LEDs out but amber hazards and turn signals work.

Leaving the battery disconnected over night didn’t fix it. DTC BCM B14E5 :08-0E

I am wondering if the LED headlight control module took a dump. There is one attached to each headlight.

Do you have the original BCM asbuilt saved? One that you would have saved before making any changes? I could compare that to the file you sent yesterday vs comparing the data that is online. Maybe something is being missed. Also, there is some verbage below about how the "Low Series LED" work.

My dumbass didn’t do a BCM asbuilt backup before the update. I do have a complete AS built back in March and I don’t think I did any BCM SW updates since then. I can get that to you when I get home from work.

Shoutout to @Jesse-Infotainment for support and guidance through my first FDRS endeavor! Was able to update to version 22293, and on restart the 75th anniversary logo I added on Forscsn came through, full screen CarPlay and Alexa notification of new features in Ford app! System did not revert from unreal as well! Now to wait for Bronco update to be released through the gateway….

I was going to tell you yesterday that code is related to the left headlight and if it was working right or not, but everyone go you in the right direction. Strangely enough I have a similar code, might be the same one, might be slightly different, at times, but that is because I have my factory DRLs disabled in the BCM, so they throw a code at times for some reason.

If it is just the module that wouldn't be horrible. You might swap the right one, or the whole headlight just for some swap nostics. If not a new one only looks to be about $140, JX7Z13C788N.

My bronco has an update available for the GWM gateway module A SW update

Jesse mentioned the gateway isn’t open to the 22293 update on my bronco yet- would get me to the new APIM SW for the full screen 22293, by updating ?

Jesse have you come across any others, like me , who lost all functionality of their left high/low beam headlight? It’s been a few days and was curious if you heard from others.

A guy last night. I wasnt around So I made a post while I was driving. The other person that had the issue had a BAD ABS update bricked his truck last time and I fixed that.

He texted me and asked if the abs was ok to do now. I looked and said it was. He then did the BCM andtexted me and showed me the DTC and he had same condition as you.

So it seems somethign with the left headlamp and quad LED> Everyone that I knew had the dynamic.

It still doesnt make sense they use the same low beam output and DRL output.

Ill look into it today.. But it doesnt make any sense to me. So for nwo its safest to not do it.

I can think of a lot of things but headlamps not working is not one I would have thought of.

I wasnt sure with yours but two now same exact issue hard to argue that.

I'm glad I went with my gut and didn't install the BCM update. It seems like bad mojo.
