Yes, you need Forscan to make that change. It's honestly super easy though, if you can do FDRS you can do Forscan

I guess, seems silly Ford isn't pushing this feature a little harder. I think they underestimate how many people will enjoy using CarPlay/AA on the big screen.

We know it's in it because of documentation previously posted by Ford, lots of us have already installed this directly and confirmed it works

Yup - I have it installed via FDRS - it's just not clear if that will be immediately part of the "post 3.5.3 OTA". Ford may have to break this up into smaller packages to support OTA better. Hopefully it's in there!

Agreed I've just been going by the original document Ford posted a few months ago, other than the version numbers the terminology seems the same. Very curious to see how this is rolled out

It does appear for this round at least they got their act together. Most of us got 3.5.2 a week ago and now 3.5.3 seems to be rolling out.

Im happy. Ford seems to have gotten it together

I heard they had a new tech lead. Maybe they came in and got it together. If so they have done a great job. Unification was a great play and now oTAs rolling out another great play.

Not OTA notice for me yet and checked by starting the truck and manually checking for an update just now. Would someone please check if anything wrong and just need to be patient for OTA to arrive... 1FTFX1E8XMKE93061

My Lightning is in the shop, but my dealer took care of me this go round, driving a new Lariat, had 19 miles on it when they sent me home with it. Even that Lariat has upgraded to 3.5.2 sometime in the last couple of days. So it will be nice if they get all of the SW unified and up to date.

However, I'll say - the Lightning missed a couple of updates and they've never rolled out - got 3.5.2 in August, but missed some others that have never caught up.
