I love my '21 XLT 302A. It has the equipment I wanted, and so far it has been trouble-free. For me, the only thing mine doesn't have that I really miss from my Platinum is heated steering wheel. I knew that going in, and that small sacrifice was worthwhile to me for the amount of money I saved. It seems to me, you bought the wrong truck. You can't blame the truck for not being equipped the way you wanted. You can only blame yourself for settling for less. In my opinion, you either need to accept what it is, or trade it for what you really wanted. Perhaps that means going to a different brand since you seem to be mad at Ford. Please do the necessary research to get the truck you want. Maybe you should take a trusted friend or relative with you when you go truck shopping to act as a voice of reason to help you to not make that mistake again. I'm sure it really sucks to be paying for a truck that you really don't want, and being reminded of that every time you get in it to drive it.

Wireless Apple CarPlay is the bomb. Apple maps. Google maps. Waze. On the Way has integrated weather radar. It’s all good ?
My 22 302A is a rolling delete otherwise lol.

Edit: Thanks to this forum I can still add 4A and adaptive cruise control someday ?
I plan on adding 4a too, on the other hand the powerboost seems pretty seductive so maybe I'll just upgrade down the line once. Powerboost raptor would be the dream truck

I had the same situation as the OP with the Nissan Frontier I had before my current truck. Hated that truck... I bought it basically over the phone and picked it up at night (during COVID) so didn't really spend much time test driving, etc. Just went by magazine reviews and the common knowledge that it was an updated version of the previous generation truck which I had and liked. My fault. Finally bit the bullet and took the 10k loss since the F150's had such huge rebates and discounts. This truck is not perfect, but it is fine and I like it. My advice is to do what you need to do to so you don't get pissed off every time you get in it. Left over 23's are still out there (lots of them) with really big discounts so the loss may be minimal on a trade deal.

A couple frustrating things that annoy me about Ford is it seems like their technicians just can't handle the new trucks and the computer system in them, and part shortages. People shouldn't have to go without their trucks for an extended amount of time because of a part shortages while at the same time Ford keeps pushing trucks down the assembly line. Neither are unique to Ford, but annoying either way.
hey, that didn’t just forward, this is happening with Toyota as well. It’s new tech, it’s new vehicles, it happens. It’s going to continue to happen. Until the economy greatly improves and we’re out of this damn slump and shops can pay guys for what they’re worth and more and new talent you’re gonna continue to have it.

Dodge isn’t any better
Nissan isn’t any better
Toyota isn’t any better

lol the 360 cams are a must offroading imho. Why didnt you get it?

Android auto? People actually use infotainment? If this extra makes it into someones review of a vehicle, just go home and quit typing unless you absolutely have to use it to run vehicle functions AND its nonresponsive (ala JCDR).

Wiper recalls and little piddly shit like that is a nonissue. I mean its getting fixed right?

They'll literally come to you and fix it at your house ?‍♂
Not that it makes any difference in this thread, but please be aware that 'home / remote service' is not available to all owners.

It's a dealer's choice to provide this or not, and none in my area choose to participate in that program / provide that service.

2023 platinum 5.0 Blackout
I agree about the front camera while parking, I have the 360 but it doesn't turn on while parking unless I hit it, my wife's Yukon pops on automatically while parking, shows front and I think sides, it's way nicer. I will say the sync system is kinda shit, never had an issue with care play or android auto, I use both. I had a 2020 ram Laramie, it was quieter while driving and the ride was much better, almost like driving a car, especially on bumpy and dirt roads. I liked the infotainment center better, the 8spd paired with the hemi was like butter, my trans, not so much. I've got a 2023 Platinum w/the 5.0. I was also kinda pissed that the massaging seats, heated steering wheel and park assist were deleted. But I needed a truck an when I bought it last year the lots were empty and I didn't have a lot of choice. Live and learn

I chose the 360 Camera option when I ordered MY22 PB. If the 360 Camera wasn't ordered, the OP probably doesn't have a front camera.
I have 360 camera, I think what he's saying is it isn't as nice as some other manufacturers, my wires Yukons front camera pops on automatically while parking, I believe it shows both sides also, it is much better while parking.

Yeah, 23 deletes were out of hand. Platinum ended up being a glorified decal package. My XLT's front sensors turn on the cams automatically while parking.
