I've been on the fence about tires since I bought this 23 PB 4x4 a couple months ago as well since I normally put a 2" level and Nitto LT 34" tires on my trucks. I'm really after the MPG's of the PB I didn't want to put a heavy LT tire on. I live in Missouri and we get some snow here. I narrowed it down to Recon Grapplers in 275/65r20 (34" OD & 48lbs), Nitto Ridge Grappler in 275/60r20 (34" & 52lbs) and now the Nokian Tire Outpost NAT in LT275/60r20. The Nokian is looking like a great deal.. it's an LT and only 46lbs, has a 60k mile warranty, and is the cheapest price. I also wouldn't need a level with this tire. Wonder how different the ride is vs the stock Hancooks. Anyone have any real work experience with these? Are they noisy or do they ride rough?

I haven't made a decision yet but the more I look at the new truck the more I think it needs bigger tires. The 34" Nitto recons are probably what I'll go with and hope the ride and noise don't change much from the hankooks. There aren't any other options for 34" under 50lbs. Like you I want to keep my MPGs on the PB. I've got about 300 miles on the new truck and am running about 22.5mpg

So far I’m relatively happy with my 285/70 17 BFG KO2’s. They work great off-road. Wet pavement traction with the powerboost is awful though. Luckily it doesn’t rain much here. My next tire is most likely going to be the new Nokian Outpost nAT. I like their sidewall technology, their “suitable for heavy EV Trucks” advertising, and had extremely good experience with their dedicated snow tires in the past. I also like that they’re under 50lbs and the tread pattern should give me a few mpg’s back.

Pirelli makes the OE 20" tires for the Rivian Truck. All Terrain but designed with EV efficiency in mind and 48 lbs for a 34" tire is not bad at all. Should hold up to our heavy powerboosts. I would also think that they should be quiet enough for the electric truck.

Those are 57lbs and $462 each with a 50k warranty.

Rivian version is supposed to be 48lbs but still that price.

Discount Tire website says "OE Designation Rivian".. but ya that price is crazy. I remember hearing on the news not long ago that Rivian owners were complaining about going through tires like crazy I guess because of the weight of the EV and then the price of having to replace those tires. LOL

Seconded. I have the nokian outpost ATs on my 2022 PB. These are not normally part of people's tire shopping lists in North America, but I've found them to be nearly just as quiet as the Hankooks, look reasonably aggressive, and great to excellent on slippery ground, especially snow.
Since these are E rated, did the ride firm up or become rough? I'm enjoying the cushy ride I have now. I'm not sure if it's the tires or the PB suspension, but my 24 platinum PB seems to ride softer than my 22 Platinum EB that had stock size SL wildpeak at3ws

Nitto Recon Grapplers SL 275/65/20s going on tomorrow. Hopefully they are a good choice!

I replaced my OE Michelins with the Continental Terrain Contact A/Ts. They ride as good and are just as quiet as the Michelins but they are much better in the rain and snow. No hit to the MPGs either.

Those are my backup plan if I don't like these nittos. Great that Discount Tire gives you 30 days to try them out!

I don't recall feeling the ride firm up at all. I fact, overall I found the ride in my PB softer than I like with more bounced on the rear axle than I found comfortable. I installed a HD RAS kit and my ride has bee great since.

I lucked out with my XLT coming with Goodyear Wranglers. Added Bilsteins on the back. Just towed TT to Colorado and did some light off roading. Rides good. Going to run these OE tires for a while.

Hey all - got the tires on today and wanted to provide an update. I've only driven about 30 miles so take it for what it's worth.

Ride quality - no significant change. Probably a tad firmer but I like it. No complaints.

MPG - did a test loop before changing tires. Hankooks - 7 miles, 3.4 electric, 26mpg. Nitto - 7 miles, 3.3 electric. 25 mpg. This is before calibrating the speedometer which would get me back .5 mpg. So for this basic test maybe lost .5 mpg?

Noise - Overall road noise is good, more than the hankooks especially at highway speeds. Do I wish they were a little quieter? Yes, but I guess that's the price you pay for good looking ATs.

However, after about 25 miles of driving I've now got a whine/whistle noise that comes on around 40mph. Almost sounds like a window just barely cracked open. Again, didn't notice this at all until the last 5 miles of driving. It's consistent now on my last 2 trips. Ideas?
1. Something with the active dam?
2. Something with the active shutters?

I wouldn't think going to 34s would change the aerodynamics enough to cause a problem. Open to ideas ?
