I know the 5.0 is assembled at the Essex plant in Windsor, but does anyone know where the 3.5 EB is assembled?

that’s rather incorrect. Ford didn’t take any bail out funds. They did take a government loan prior to the bail out fund fiasco.Cleveland, Ohio. Ford took the gov "bail out" funds and updated that plant with it to start producing the ecoboost.
Cool thanks for clearing that up! It was definitely not the same bail out GM and Chrysler took.that’s rather incorrect. Ford didn’t take any bail out funds. They did take a government loan prior to the bail out fund fiasco.
yeah, sorry didn’t mean to seem so harsh.Cool thanks for clearing that up! It was definitely not the same bail out GM and Chrysler took.
As of 2020 it was still not paid off.-yeah, sorry didn’t mean to seem so harsh.
Yeah Ford was smart enough and had the Ford thinking and saw the financial crisis coming. They had the intuition to actually seek help before they were forced so they still got base government back to help but it was a traditional type loan paid with interest. That loan was paid in full and paid off early.
I live about a mile from the Essex Engine Plant. It was a bit of a disappointment that was not available in my Tremor. It was made available in 2023 but in retrospect I’m very happy with the 3.5 EB. I honestly don’t know where my engine was made although the Tremor was made in Dearborn (about 10 miles from my house). I’ll have to go check!I know the 5.0 is assembled at the Essex plant in Windsor, but does anyone know where the 3.5 EB is assembled?
We could call it the 350 Cleveland. If deciliters weren’t just a bit too metric. What, you guys don't call it the 213 Cleveland engine?
Nothing is cast or forged in Cleveland, everything is purchased from suppliers. Cleveland Engine does final machining of blocks and heads, and assembles all the supplier components into a twin turbo vroom vroom. The last two 3.5 eco boost engines I've had came in vehicles assembled in Kansas. The engines are assembled in Ohio, would be curious to know if they are just assembled there too or fully birthed. So much casting and forging is done outside of the US now it's silly.
I saw somewhere it was paid off July 2023As of 2020 it was still not paid off.-

The article does say it was supposed to be paid off in 2022.
