Anyone also have an Explorer ST?

Have both, 20212 ST AWD and 2022 F-150 and took the F-150 to Minn(from Charlotte NC)last July. ST is hands down faster and runs with my son’s GT up to 85 and the Coyote starts walking away easily. Ride is better than the F-150 but not by much especially if you load up the F-150. Both tow my 6000lb boat and trailer but the F-150 is hands down the towing favorite. The ST in 2021 had all the bells and whistles and in 2022 Ford started deleting content. As mentioned in an earlier response the seat heat is smoking and anything above 2 and your burning the bacon.

My XLT is 400hp 500 tq 5050lbs, so that explains why the performance is nearly identical. Just surprised they "feel" so much quicker.

Only 5050…my RCSB 5.0 4x4 (plus my 240lbs) weighs 4980 on cat scales. What configuration do you have?

302a 4x4 super crew. Maybe I remember wrong...? I was on a scale and I thought hmm, minus my weight and 50lbs of racket straps, tools, car seats and it's barely over 5k

It's all good I have a sketchy memory and it's not getting better.

It's not important to me that it's faster, I just thought it odd that so many people say it's faster when it should be comparable to a 3.5 or Powerboost.

Really that's great. I'm over extremely fast cars anyway. Feeling faster than it is, is good news. To me, 12.8-13.2 is the perfect amount of speed for a fun street vehicle. I just want something more fun to drive and also acknowledge I can't have multiple vehicles right now (anymore) and have 2 kids. Getting these Ecoboost v6s to those times is not exactly difficult.

Curb weights, base trims, full of fuel. Check your door sticker, GVWR - payload = fully wet weight.

Only 270lbs from RCSB 5.0 to a 2.7 CREW. Piggyboost though, oink oink -- got 600lbs on a crew 5.0

Omg, not in my truck. On level 3, you're asking for blisters. I have to turn off 1 after it gets to temp. My wife can't even do 3 and she's always cold.

Title says 4780 LBS for my STX Supercab 4x4 V8. That math works out if I subtract my payload from GVWR. Cat scales are known to be pretty inaccurate on things under 10,000 LBS.

I just don’t see a RCSB being 5k lbs, on top of the shorter wheelbase you guys have a thinner frame rail.

I have done a slight power brake in sport
4 sec to 60...but I was holding the phone so times may not be exact
I just know I was getting off the gas and it was only in 4th.
I am not sure the gearing in the it's 10 spd
But....at 65. Once your settled it shifts at least 3 more times snd gets rpms down to 1100 at 65 ish
I loved driving my 22 f150 in sport
With rear sway bar hooked up
It handled very well on curvy 2 lanes
The st.. a whole different animal on same road..
You have to hold it back or you will be zipping along way to fast
It's a 60 zone with lots of sweeps and short radius curves. Requires at least 3 coffees before you drive it.

I got that 4700 number from google search, but just went and looked at the stickers on our 2025 ST.

6150 gvwr - 1175 payload = 4975 curb weight

For what it's worth, when Car and Driver tested the ST in 2020, they got a weight of 4853 lbs. As far as I know, they actually weigh the vehicles they test.

it sure does not feel that heavy

My STX 5.0 Crew cab 5.0 weighs 4700 going by my title. And to think a 1970 Chevelle SS weighted 3500 lbs.

We bought our ST new in 2021 as a vehicle for my wife and she traded in a 2016 BMW X5. It's only been back to the dealer for recall's to be done, but has had no issues.

It's been lowered on Steeda Springs, has a Steeda sway bar and end links. We've also done the Charge Pipe, Intake, Exhaust, Tune and Diff Brace.

Absolutely love it, it does has a firm ride as to be expected, but we can easily fit 6 people in it and it is super fun to drive. I do keep some emergency kit in the back and on the scales with me in it (220bls), it weighed 5115lbs with half a tank.
