Simple truth is that any tire with the 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake rating will do well in the snow. Pick the 3PMS rated tire that suits you best otherwise and you will be good. I will say if you have too much trouble making that choice, I will also vote for KO2s as a tremendous all around snow AT.

I love my P rated wildpeaks. I've had 275/60/20 and now have 275/65/18.

I'm either going with 275/70/18 wildpeak(although heavy) or bfg k03( if it's wet weather is greatly.improved over the ko2s) when these wear out.

I'v also had good success with wildpeaks. Duratracs did well for me as long as the conditions weren't wet. I put Cooper rugged trek's on my ex-wifes truck before we parted ways and they were also great in the snow, wet, mud, dirt, rock, and pavement.. they will probably be my next tire.

I was very happy with the performance of the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires I put on this winter. Went across the country through ice storms, snow storms, rain, sleet and more. Highly recommended.

Got the Falken Wildpeak ATW3 285/60R20 Tires mounted and the Timbren Spring helper installed. Had to pull the 1" spacers as the Timbren's were just touching the lower plate with them in. Once out had about 1" of clearance with unloaded truck.

Just thought you should know: No disrespect but Nokians, aren’t they considered budget tires that are made by Nokian Tyres' with other production facilities in Nokia, Finland, and Vsevolozhsk, Russia? Material isn’t the same as in the states with different manufacturing processes in each country with lower government to no required standards.
Perhaps in NA, not sure. However, i would think getting top snow rated tires from countries that have far more severe winters than anything we see would be safer than the alternative.

Depends on how aggressive. Note a lot of AT tired are very bad in the snow and all mud tires are bad. Tyre reviews did extensive testing on mild all terrains and the BFG trail terrain was top tested.

The Michelin Defender LTX and it's mild looks did very, very well.

So Michelin has started releasing their new Defender LTX M/S2. The Tyre Review channel reviewed the original Defender LTX M/S tires so I'm curious how the updated tire does in snow.

I saw that. They're recycling the name as they used to make a defender m/s2 about 10 years ago too. So it makes finding info a little tougher.

The big change I see is that the outer blocks are tied together, they were open separate blocks before. This increased the load capacity and should make for sharper and better handling where the current one would get a little squirmy. But I'm not sure it will help in the snow.
