Prove it.

Just in 2025:
  • 109 recalls issued in the U.S. alone, the highest among automakers.
  • 1.9 million vehicles recalled globally, with 1.45 million in the U.S., due to rearview camera issues causing inverted, distorted, or blank images.
  • 44,123 warranty claims were filed worldwide related to this camera defect.
  • Ford was also fined $165 million in late 2024 for failing to recall vehicles with defective cameras in a timely manner.
  • Warranty payments as a percentage of revenue increased, further straining Ford’s bottom line
Unless you think all those people are happy customers? :)

1. Validiate the data, as in show the sources.
2. This is PB specific?

If you've ever read Samson16's posts you would know that is absolutely NOT what he meant......Probably the biggest supporter of the Powerboost platform on here (maybe 2nd behind Snakebitten)- and I get it- they are great vehicles.

Whatever your reason was for not dipping your toe in the water in 2021 (assuming the technology appealed to you in the first place)- it should be a non-issue entering the 2026 model year.....
"Should" be a non-issue entering 2026, and yet 2025 isn't really giving a good read in terms of improved quality. Certainly hoping it'll get better since the promise of these vehicles is undeniably attractive, its just the delivery has been a general clusterfuck.

Those recall stats are not great, but they are for everything Ford builds. They are not PB specific. What you said was "for someone like me (and the tens of thousands of others) who has a worthless shit wagon for a PB". Those recall stats say nothing specifically about PB.

I have no doubt that you and a few other folks (not tens of thousands) have had bad experiences with PB. No mfg process is perfect, and early production of new models inevitably has teething pains. Also, some dealers have been technically challenged so repairs have not always gone smoothly or quickly, and Ford has had some parts supply chain issues. Your inability to distinguish between Ford overall and PB specifically discounts your devaluation of PB.

With a rear view camera defect and tardy recall being about 3/4 of all Ford recalls (1.45m of 1.9m total) that hardly ranks as a big deal. Marginally inconvenient perhaps, but for most of my half century of driving I observed what was going on behind me by either looking in the rear view mirrors or by turning my head. Quaint I know, but a rear view camera defect is hardly a reason to call a PB a "worthless shit wagon".

Purchased my Powerboost new in 2021, job 2 build. 90,000 miles, 3 sets of tires, original brakes, all 3 original batteries, 3 dealer appointments for recalls that all took less than a day each with supplied loaner, still enjoying it and have had zero issues.

I'll probably buy another PB after the 125k warranty expires on this one.
