What are you guys paying for the bed outlet panel?

Anyone have any luck selling their old takeoff equipment after the upgrade?

Mine was $175 for the bed panel, and I haven't sold any of my take offs (from my many retrofits). Everything is stored wrapped in my shed, just in case I want to return to stock.

How did you make out with the install?
Did you run into any issues or tricks that would help others out?

It is a pain as everything is really tight around the exhaust. I removed (2) exhaust hangers near the inverter and loosened the heat shield for more room. Still super tight, I don't think you need to clamp/pinch the coolant lines as they did not continue to leak once the inverter drained. Probably lost about 2 cups of coolant initially then nothing more came out. There are 3-4 nylon push pins holding wires at the top of the inverter that were also a pain to pry out. No way you will get those put back in place but it looks like the wires will be fine without them.

Just follow the Forscan instructions, you need to make (2) changes, (1) for the display and (1) for the 120V to 240V inverter. The gauge one seems a little daunting at first because there are well over 100 options to choose from due to what features your truck has. It is the APMI module 7D0-01-03 xxxx **xx xx-- . You need to change the value for whatever your truck has in the ** location. You will see what your truck has in the ** location and that will let you know what features your truck has. Just pick the "2 dial" option with the same features.

This may help. if your truck has "06" where the asterisk are you would change it to "04" as all the other conditions are the same. Even though "05" shows 2 gauges it is different than 04 and 06 as "TRGF" is Available and in 04 and 06 it is Not Available.

Thanks for the update and hints.
Where did you source the bed outlet panel?
I am having trouble finding one.

I didn't get any video and only the pictures I posted. I really isn't that complicated, 4-5 bolts, 2 electrical connectors, and 2 coolant lines.

Discharge the truck, clamp off and remove the coolant lines, remove the grounding bolt, remove the 4 bolts on the inverter, lift and remove. Put new one in, in reverse order. Update a couple codes in Forscan and you're done with the "hard" parts. The bed panel is 4 screws and pops outs.

This thread that you cross posted on another forum is what brought me over here. Most of this seems pretty straight forward but the part in bold I am not certain of the steps or actions this takes. Can you elaborate on this?

Make sure both 12v batteries are disconnected for at least 2 hours before you touch anything
