Ok what is the budget and how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go? Are you running stock Raptor wheel tire setup now, or did you go for a smaller tire size?
Shocks, 2.5’s will give you best ride and offroad performance, but they come with a price $$$
Shocks, 2.0 a good balance between...
I am sure, you have quite the parts list there to get done. I would be curious if the raptor hood fits with the stock fenders, sure looks like it would as there has been one for sale for spell on marketplace that I would like to go after.
Elka shocks are a great set of shocks ( I had them on my Tacoma ) and they were a huge upgrade vs my Old Man Emu’s. You had (or still riding on the 2.0’s), I had the 2.5 shocks for them. I am now looking to get a set on my truck since I have added the front bumper.
I have good thing on...
Hmm I had not thought of that, the only issue I know you run into is that you can not remove the top bolt all the way without cutting it. I will keep adding some pics as I do more to the truck plus also we will be heading to camp here soon so I will grab some pics then.
Ha, I have several pin...
If you mean the ditch lights? I just changed them out a few months ago and I am still working on the wiring of them but they have the backlit amber on them, but they are the DD SS3 pro’s I believe. I got them off FB on the f150 overlanding page as someone was selling them.
So you’re saying you kept the A/C’s running in the RV while driving down the road? If so how did you deal with the power cord, as I mine is towards the back of the RV? Just strap it to the side back to the bed?
Maybe I am missing something here but this is my thoughts.
Now for those who don’t really know how much these replacement bumpers weigh, make sure you look into it as it will affect the way your truck drives and the hole front end will drop. When you add in my case around 260lb to the front end, things change. My current eibach setup is holding but...
Once I got the front bumper off then I started working on removing the lower air damn part for the PB and capping off that plug so it would not be a problem. I was getting a small amount of rub once I moved from the stock 265/70/18’s to the 295/70/18’s, so I trimmed that on both sides to remove...
Well that is about it for the good travel pics, we all know what an RV looks like behind one of our units so no need to share that…
On to more mods which is pictured at the beginning but this turned into a full day job when doing it by yourself.
I started off by watching a video on how to do...
In total it was just over 3k miles for that one trip in just over a week, I would recommend it.
Thank you
I will post some more pics accordingly, I believe I have one with the awning out from just camping.
Thanks, I built another truck just to go to this location and go rid of it before I...
We made a stop at the National Sand Dunes on the way home, that was pretty cool and I am glad we stopped as I guess once all the snow melts there is no water so cool to catch at that time of year.
