Beautiful traveling. Those are great places and makes me sad it’s so far away for me to go more than once.
In total it was just over 3k miles for that one trip in just over a week, I would recommend it.

Just found this.
A Powerboost desert overlanding platform? Absolutely!

Nicely done
Thank you

Sweet trip! Do you have any pics with the awning out too? My setup is very similar. 55” FSR High Country RTT.

Wish I had the 6.5’ bed tho. And the 4A from the Lariat transfer case.
I will post some more pics accordingly, I believe I have one with the awning out from just camping.

I'm too inspired, jealous and envious to reply with any reasonable thought. 👍
Absolutely amazing views and looks like a great trip.
Thanks, I built another truck just to go to this location and go rid of it before I made it out there..

@Administrator if you changed the title, thanks makes sense and welcome the change.

Well that is about it for the good travel pics, we all know what an RV looks like behind one of our units so no need to share that…

On to more mods which is pictured at the beginning but this turned into a full day job when doing it by yourself.

I started off by watching a video on how to do this from American trucks, well they had a 5.0 version they were working on and let’s just say there are a few extra steps when it comes to the PB model, ie couple more harnesses hiding under there that the instructions or that site fail to mention.

Here is a couple pics of the front chrome bumper (that everyone loves) off

Once I got the front bumper off then I started working on removing the lower air damn part for the PB and capping off that plug so it would not be a problem. I was getting a small amount of rub once I moved from the stock 265/70/18’s to the 295/70/18’s, so I trimmed that on both sides to remove that problem. I had already adjusted the crash bars so that they were about another .25” out to just remove that issue.

Now for those who don’t really know how much these replacement bumpers weigh, make sure you look into it as it will affect the way your truck drives and the hole front end will drop. When you add in my case around 260lb to the front end, things change. My current eibach setup is holding but unless I pull them and put them on the wall mounted spring compressor again will I be able to adjust them, which would probably work fine but I really should be looking for a replacement shock that has a 700lb vs all the standard 600lb spring.

Here is the bumper mounted and all but bolted up, ended up needing the wife to come push on the driver side front so I could close a gap as you need to have a wrench and socket going at the same time to get things tight underneath.

I'd love to do this with the family but to fit 5 wouldn't be too easy.

What spot lights are you running?

If you mean the ditch lights? I just changed them out a few months ago and I am still working on the wiring of them but they have the backlit amber on them, but they are the DD SS3 pro’s I believe. I got them off FB on the f150 overlanding page as someone was selling them.

It almost looks like they could be removed and re-installed upside down to gain clearace instead of cutting...

..enjoying the thread, Keep the pics coming!

Hmm I had not thought of that, the only issue I know you run into is that you can not remove the top bolt all the way without cutting it. I will keep adding some pics as I do more to the truck plus also we will be heading to camp here soon so I will grab some pics then.

Ha, I have several pin strips down the truck, I am ashamed that I have owned this thing now all but 4 years and have never polished it…..
