I know, right? Just because I was doing 160kph by the time I had to pull back in, and instead of jamming on the brakes to get back unde the limit I coasted around a couple of corners, an unmarked grey bmw saw me at 133, reckoned he was slow locking me in at 126, gave me between 15-25 over which admittedly was nice of him because I didn't lose truck and licence for 3 months ?

$400 and 3 demerit points (out of 12 that now take 3 years to expire) - I'll "test" my brakes next time. It's no wonder you get stuck behind a line of 20 cars who are afraid to overtake a horse float doing 15 under the limit on a single lane each way road ? Vive Le "Nanny State" ?
I agree, the nanny state is getting way out of control. We're about to have a vote in November and I hope we can reverse our course, we are in a big pile of it right now. Makes me want to get a tune, mine shuts off at 106, but that's mph.

Just another quiet night keeping the valves clean. Notice the transmission drops to 5th and the boost jumps a wee bit ?

Commanded a downshif, made the downshift and had full boost in exactly 1 second? Impossible bEcAuSe tUrBo lAg

Didn't realize the indicated speed refresh was only 2.5hz -- That downshift took just over .4 seconds, need a tune on that thing!

I didn’t realize the on-hold music from my work phone made it through lol. Low staffing issues at the control center in Atlanta ??‍♂

My buddy traded in his 2022 5.7 Hemi for the new 3.0 Hurricane. For how hyped up that 3.0 twin turbo is it wasn’t all that. It still wasn’t able to beat my 5.0 and the V8 squarely won every single roll race. It’s sort of embarrassing it takes 22 psi of boost for the Hurricane to match my 5.0 at atmosphere. Almost comical really. The 5.0 really is a powerhouse N/A machine.

At 22 pounds the 5.0 would be making well over 1000 lb ft of torque, the the 3.0 only making 469 lb ft is rather pathetic imo.
To be fair a Ford will be faster than every other truck at the same power because the aluminum drops the weight a good bit over the competition

I smoked some punk in a Chevy who tried to not let me in a turn lane two days ago....He wasnt even turning, just being a jerk.....but that 3.5 left that 5.3 like he was sitting still....

Even the 6.2 is a slouch. One of the main reasons I didn't go for Chevy behind the lifter failure

In other words, we should all be driving the 2.7L.
Not for me thanks…….
My choice was the power boost.
As everyone knows, this is the choice that everyone needs to make for themselves. I honestly couldn’t care less what engine you choose. There are pros and cons of each.

6.2 runs out good, but the lifters are a joke. It also deeply concerns me GM chooses to ignore the issue. Ford totally redesigned the 5.0 within 2 years when it had oil consumption issues. GM? They have done nothing in 15 years about the premature lifter failures. That speakers VOLUMES about the organization. They don’t give a rats ass about the customer or their quality, 100%. That’s what their actions show.

While Ford isn’t squeaky clean. They corrected the oil consumption issues on the 5.0 and the camphaser and timing stretch issues on the 3.5 EB. That display of effort to correct issues speaks volumes.

GM may be forced to go the route of Toyota with long block replacements:

... this has to cost them some $.

I bought a 2024 XLT PB and love it. Still learning all the stuff about it and my new trailer so have been busy with it all. Are there issues on the FB page...yes but all cars have issues. Drive one yourself and find out. I'm sure a local dealer would love to have you drive one?
We're happy to hear you love it! Thank you for being a part of the Ford family. :)

My 2020 5.0 was a great truck loved the sound of the 5.0 when I got on it.I tow a travel trailer and just didn’t like having to get real heavy on the gas pedal when starting off from a red light. So when lease was up I turned it in on a 3.5 and wow there was big difference in towing that camper when starting from a stop light with the torque at a much lower rpm.My 22 3.5 has the same rear gear as the 5.0 a 3.55 but what a difference from a stop.I do like the 5.0 and as far as gas mileage they are pretty much the same from my experience with a travel trailer and without. The 5.0 just revved a lot higher when towing my camper.I have a pb on order that is supposed to be here in a month or so and I’ll let you know my experience with it.
