I love my powerboost and popcorn. This thread is better than any oil thread I've ever read.
Go ahead and laugh now.

Right until using the wrong brand of oil kills your powerboost!

I use butter-flavored popcorn oil in mine. It smells nice, and gives a good power gain. Last dyno was 760hp to the wheels and 36L/popcorn per min/mile.

Trying next with a stage 2 Gen6 Whipple. I expect more PC/mile than the previous setup.

Project farm has a series where he uses anything as motor oil. Several great watches on that series. He uses mashed up bananas in one for a mower engine :ROFLMAO:. He does all the weird shit I’ve thought of but never do.

awe, maaan! you let out the secret!

I usually use olive oil
there is actually an issue in Europe, to the point that the police have special squads running around sniffing cars for it, that cooking oil costs less than diesel fuel--and works as a substitute!

So folks buy huge quantities of cooking oil, and pour it in the tank. But it smells like kitchen, giving them awayl

He uses mashed up bananas in one for a mower engine :ROFLMAO:.
An Australian friend of mine told of an incident where the oil escaped their gun turned dune buggy, and they talked a Kentucky Fried Chi ken out of a bucket of used cooking oil, put it in, and got home.

He's the same one that told me about using a raw egg as an emergency radiator leak stopper . . .

I didn't think about using popcorn-generation for extra traction!
short sighted. It takes *hours* to pluck all the unpeopled kernels out of the treads!

years later, one of the guys in my Cadillac club, a mechanic, is still shaking his head about his aunt who took the oil light on the dash as meaning that the oil was OK.

Drove for months like that, and destroyed a car that would be with a fortune today.

Most of the techs just jealous they can't wrench on the HV system w/out the extra class. Tech isn't synonymous with "pro" and they're not interchangeable.

It'd also be foolish to forget these are the same people who can't diagnose a failure in the diff / whatever other issue your truck comes back with from the dealer, still broken. I'm sure there's lots of decent techs out there, they're just unicorns around these parts.
