Until a supercab pulls up on E-85 and pulls away from you all the way to the governor, while you enjoy the beautiful exhaust note coming out its tailpipe. I got a clean 5.26 second 0-60 run on E-85 I’ll have you know (no tune). Rawr.
Post it so we can see you made it down to XLT PB territory.

Did I miss the screen shot of the run?

Mine is quieter and faster than a Telsa Model S Plaid. Until I stomp on the loud pedal then it sounds like the hounds of hell have been released to unleash their fury on mere mortals.

I also average 49.9 MPG..... While towing.........35,000 lbs. Can't even feel it behind me.

I fully expect it to go 1 million miles without so much as a warning light. Like none.

My washer fluid gets low? Pfft... No warning light here. Truck fills it up itself man. No joke.

Sure, yours is fast but If you think you're going to be able to go as long as a 5.0 with no major issues, you're smoking crack.
I'm subject to random drug tests, so that's a no to the smoking of crack. A Ram or two?...well...yes I've smoked those.

And mine's pretty damn quiet. I get to hear the sweet rumble of intake noise in the cab, not the exhaust. Kinda like an old 4 barrel. No plans to make it loud. I'm a grown up. ?‍♂
I dunno man. All trucks have their issues regardless of year, make model and drivetrain.
Drive what you enjoy.

There were some changes made to the 5.0 that I believe enable more longevity.

However, the correct answer is whichever one is maintained better. We’re not talking just oil changes here. We’re talking fresh air filters, timely coolant replacements, and good diags when things do go awry.

I had 12th Gen SCAB with a 3.5 I would still be driving if it my family hadn’t outgrown it. I rarely WOT the 5.0 in the 14th Gen, but I have maintained it as such that I have no qualms doing it. Will it outlast a similarly maintained 3.5? Maybe, maybe not, ESP helps me sleep easy.

3.5 ecoboost here, I'd say I love this engine except some slight idle vibration at red lights. My friends own 5.0 2.7 and 3.3 even 3.5 powerboost. We've talked so much on this topic and I'd recommend you 2.7 ecoboost. That one doesn't have much power but true reliable.

Moral of this story! No one is perfect , not an engine and not a manufacturer. Stop this non sense about one being more reliable then the other.

It's a forum.

"I paid $XX,XXX for this truck and there is no excuse for.......... I will never buy another xxxxxxx (brand) again"

Fortunately, that same forum is one of the most powerful tools the consumer has ever had in vehicle ownership.

I am certainly glad that I ended up with the 5.0, and skipped all the bells and whistles.
i did the same thing, saved on upgrades and spent my money on the 5.0, locking rear and upgraded gears, no regrets especially since i have retro-added a heated wheel and got heated seat covers from costco.

hindsight being 20/20 i probably would have ordered the 302 versus 301 that i got, but that was over 6 grand of options at the time i wasn't willing to spend

The Powerboost is indeed the most complex. But now that it and the forum are about to enter the 4th year of its existence, in my opinion almost every issue that has popped up unique to the Powerboost is known and understood.

Or put another way, although the Powerboost gets a lot of airplay in a forum sense, which earned it its reputation for the most buggy of the options, at this point the issues are pretty much fleshed out.
