I have 2021 that I bought early 2021 new and my truck has never received an update. Took it to a dealer and they weren’t able to provide me updates for whatever reason in Aug 2022. Don’t have the option for auto over the air updates. Wondering if anyone can tell what’s going on looking up my VIN?

Post or PM me the VIN. There are certain things I can check looking for red flags to see if your truck may be one of the ones affected or not.

My build date was 02/21 and I’ve been stuck on 2.7.4 since October as well.
This is frustrating!

Post or PM me the VIN. There are certain things I can check looking for red flags to see if your truck may be one of the ones affected or not.

Your truck is on Sync 20262 and has not received an OTA in 22 months. I am confident your truck is stuck in OTA purgatory. Without dealer intervention to get your APIM out of its current state, you will never get an OTA update sent to you. I see the failed attempts by the dealer to update/repair your APIM. Both the community and the dealerships have learned a lot about these issues in the past 8 months since they last tried to fix it. I would try to make another appt to see if they can get you unstuck.

The other alternative is getting a Mongoose tool and doing it yourself.

Your truck is on Sync 20262 and has not received an OTA in 22 months. I am confident your truck is stuck in OTA purgatory. Thanks for your help! I’ll mention this to the dealership and hopefully get some resolution.

Can someone please check the status of my truck. It was in at the dealership in the fall, but they said they needed to order some cables. I didn’t hear anything for months, so I followed up and have an appointment next month. They were supposed to activate BlueCruise in the fall (but needed the cables) and are now saying they can’t at all. My VIN is: 1FTFW1ED7MFA94634

Your truck is past the hump where they don't get updates, so you are fine in that regard. Those older updates rarely get pushed out by Ford, so I am not surprised you haven't gotten an update in months. While I understand your frustration, there is nothing you can do to trigger an OTA being sent to you. In my particular case, my truck got stuck on that same update and I tried 3 different dealers who were not able to help me. I had to update it myself with the help of this forum. I do not have the tools or the knowledge to be able to tell if your truck has the same problem mine did.

I hate to be bearer of bad news, but you have one of the trucks this thread is about. Your last recorded OTA was 2 years ago and you are on the dreaded Sync 20301 which is a red flag that your truck is stuck in OTA purgatory.

Your dealer telling you they need to order cables sounds like a full truckload of BS to me. If they needed the "cables", they would not have been able to run a network scan on your truck on 10/26 and perform a VERY weak attempt at updating your APIM. The one attempt they made at updating your APIM to get your truck unstuck failed due to what FDRS says is a poor internet connection. After that, they didn't even try again.

While your truck has the 21G01 campaign open for Bluecruise programming, Ford has told dealers not to perform it until further notice because (for a lack of better words and to avoid a lengthy explanation) they suck. Good luck getting them to update the truck to Bluecruise now. You can, however, tell them your truck hasn't gotten updates in two years and get them to try and update or replace your APIM so you can start getting OTA updates again. Good luck

What did you do to update it exactly? I haven’t raised the issue at the dealership yet. I do have to do the wiper recall so I could always ask when I do that. I’m hesitant to try anything on my own. Don’t really want to brick my truck. Lol

I bought a Mongoose and an FDRS license and with the help and guidance of people in this forum, I did it myself. It can be intimidating to do yourself, but it really isn't that difficult so much as time consuming. Ford doesn't pay dealers to update modules and these updates can take hours and hours, so good luck getting them to do it.

While being stuck where some are sucks, what sucks just as much is getting 3.5.2 in october of last year and nothing since. Not even a try, (that I know of). What a crappy tease!

I don't know what 3.5.2 does, but from my standpoint, it really does nothing. lol
