The strange thing is that the description appears to be nearly identical to HVAC-24.5.0, but I received that particular update three weeks ago. This is on a 2022 502a. I have a good track record receiving OTA updates, but I've never gotten them first. I'm also not in the EA program.

Yup, same for me. I received HVAC-24.5.0 on 3/12 and just received PT-24.11.2 today. Came on here to see if anybody else reported it. My truck is a ‘22 3.5EB XLT 302A. I’ve been impressed with the OTA activity lately.
This update just failed for me last night. Hoping there’s no other issues as I have esp but losing my 36/36k today!After 24 successful OTA’s I got my first failure with the Windows DDM 25.12.0 that unsuccessfully installed this past weekend. Got a message in FP to schedule a service call to resolve. Gave it little thought figured it would come back around again for install and I didn’t have any Windows problems anyway.
The following day I see the passenger door mirror won’t fold or adjust, power window won’t operate, puddle light are out and blind spot indicator not working. Tried a quick batteries 15 min disconnect t and that was no help. Check Fuse 26/30a which controls passenger door module and it was intact.
@rugedraw checked PTS and said it looked like failure at the config process. So took it to my dealer yesterday and now I’m 2 months out of original warranty but I do have Ford ESP. Service guy say OTA not covered by ESP but technician will take a look.
They confirmed all the features that were not working on the passenger door and tried to update the PDM. It failed again. So they did a PMI and then were successful reprogramming the PDM. And door features all working correctly.
Service writer calls me with update and says not covered by ESP but would have been covered by original 36/36,000. I asked him to call Ford and explain the OTA bricked the door functions. He called back and they agreed no charge.

So ticket said they worked on BCM but @rugedraw looked at PTS and that was typo as it was the PDM they worked on for about 5 minutes.
So who knows exactly why DDM 25.12.0 failed on my truck but not others but ultimately the Dealer and Ford did the right thing. ?
