Ok so yes is off and no is on for the motion sensor? And I guess the bcm Lin was right?
"Turn off motion sensors" Yes = motion sensors off until the next time the ignition is turned off.

No keeps them enabled.

If it is working you did the right LIN routine :)

Hmmm......I guess I'll have to take a look in my Platinum's overhead console, to see if I have this part and it's simply disabled.

My truck also came with the Advanced Security Sytem Delete -$50 (2023 Ford Raptor). A quick question if I may....

Will adding the sensor and changing the FORScan values cause any long term DTCs? I have read that adding the digital readout HVAC controls to a '23 truck that has the temp display on the screen and not the knobs, will result in a DTC due ot the fact that the truck sees a different module number than it was built with.

Will the same thing (Long term DTC code) happen with the advanced security addition?

Waiting on my module to arrive so can’t say 100%, but I’d say no long term DTCs with this. The HVAC module you’re swapping in an earlier revision part that was never meant to be on the truck.

I'm pretty sure mine was 4 from the factory (the value 4 not Style 4)
So if mine is set to value 4 from factory I should change it to "C"? See below from sheet:

4 =CEAM disabled • PAT Motion Sensors • VSS Style 1C =CEAM enabled • PAT Motion Sensors • VSS Style 1

If a 4 from the factory you probably should leave it at 4. CEAM is "clear exit assist menu" and I'm not sure what that would add to the IPC. You want PAT (perimiter alarm text) to be either all sensors motion sensors. I haven't tried all sensors so you would be on you own if you went with 0 or 8.

Does anyone know if these steps would work in a 2023 lightning? Whats the cheapest way someone can get into FORscan? This is my 7th F150 and I've never messed with Forscan before.

But for some damn reason it's driving me nuts Ford removes features from our trucks. I can't believe I'm willing to go through all this crap to add a $50 feature back. Lol

Ford should let us just order the part and dealer install and flash it.

Sorry for the newbie FORscan questions but if you do something like this, does a software update or anything like that erase all your work and have to redo it?

So turns out I got a $50 credit simply for Ford not enabling the intrusion sensor. Made the Forscan changes and everything works. Looks like I have a sensor available if someone is interested.
This is actually nuts. How many people out there are like yours and have the module and we don't even know it? Is there a way to test just with FORscan without even having to take anything apart? What month was your 2023 made?

Not positive if it would work on a lightning, but I’m willing to bet it’s the exact same process. Just did it to my truck.

As for Forscan, you’ll want to get one of the two adapters they recommend. I use the Vgate vLinker FS. The extended license for the software is $12 for a year. Pretty cheap for what it can do

Blend date was Sept of '22. It would be easier to pop down the overhead console and see if the sensor is there vs enabling the forscan lines to see if it works.

Thanks HammaMan, I was more interested in the jacking the vehicle trigger functionality than the interior motion trigger, but not enough to go through routing and tapping a harness in for it. Besides, I would want to be sure I could disable it when we are using our PowerBoost in "dog mode".

I'm thinking to look into installing the Perimeter Plus and can purchase the unit with my FordPass Rewards. Know anything about that solution? i.e. can it to be enabled/disable in settings? I am hoping the FORScan hacks shown previously offer a clue.

BTW, I enjoy your straight forward comments noticed on other threads. Especially something about folks not willing to give out details but instead sell ya parts. For me PnP is fine but hacking the truck is more fun.
I am thinking about adding perimeter plus to my 2021 lariat with advanced security pack. I miss having the shock sensor and the LED indicator light I had on my 2013 XLT.

Where did you end up with your install? Sounds like you added the LED indicator light? Was there a way to disable/enable the shock sensor in sync?

Thanks!

So I decided to pull down my overhead panel and looks like I have the real deal already installed in my 23 Platinum. The feature was removed from my sticker though as shown below. Is this something I could have the dealer activate when I have it in for my rear axel recall (when they have a fix) and the OTA update recall issue? I don't have Forscan.

You'll need to turn it on yourself with Forscan. It is highly unlikely the dealership has someone with Forscan and will do this. Super easy to do and what needs to be done is listed in this thread.
