i found this module out on a 2020 f250 will it work would you?

I found this module out of a 2020 F250 do you think it might work?

IMG_8172.jpeg
The correct module is only like $30, so it doesnt seem worth it to try one that might not work correctly for that amount

Looks like the MSRP price of the sensor has gone up significantly.

The current MSRP is $263.64 for LC5Z-15K609-A
INTRUSION SENSOR; F-150. INTRUSION SENSOR; Mustang Mach-E.

The online discounted prices is generally in the $170's up from the $30's earlier this spring.

Maybe a low supply and high demand issue?

Bastards. They did this on the digital temp dial HVAC units last year. The prices there eventually came back down.

How long does it take to arm the sensor?
I want to test it since I think I have it on my 2021. I saw the post about window being down and that seems easiest way to test it.

Well perform 2 tests in 1 and let us know. Crack windows about 5-6", arm it w/ doors closed and put your hand in every 30 seconds or so and see when it goes off. Just stick arm in until elbow and wave to the vanity mirror.

@HammaMan , I noticed you have a 302A. Was the harness for the Advanced Security Pack in it? Ironically, I had my console off this weekend to connect a sun visor with HomeLink on my 302A but didn't remember seeing this harness. I know my console didn't have the sensor or dummy holder :)

No, was neither present up top nor wired to the harness at the back right cab pillar. It's 3 ultrasonic motion sensors. It's only applicable if you park with windows open large enough for someone to reach in and take something. The downside of it is if you're near the vehicle and do decide to crack the windows and want to toss a shirt or hoodie in, find your keys cuz it'll set it off.

Thanks HammaMan, I was more interested in the jacking the vehicle trigger functionality than the interior motion trigger, but not enough to go through routing and tapping a harness in for it. Besides, I would want to be sure I could disable it when we are using our PowerBoost in "dog mode".

I'm thinking to look into installing the Perimeter Plus and can purchase the unit with my FordPass Rewards. Know anything about that solution? i.e. can it to be enabled/disable in settings? I am hoping the FORScan hacks shown previously offer a clue.

BTW, I enjoy your straight forward comments noticed on other threads. Especially something about folks not willing to give out details but instead sell ya parts. For me PnP is fine but hacking the truck is more fun.

We need that first brave soul to pull that down and see if the wiring harness that this Tasco part plugs into is present! Volunteers? Anyone? Hello??
@Old Bear , well, I installed it today but cannot seem to get it working, no LED status anyway. Anybody know the FORScan for ML3Z19A361A and LED?

Got it working this morning. I found the Gen13 instructions and cross referenced the configuration by name since the addresses are different. I ended up verifying/modifying the following addresses:

IPC
720-02-02 *xxx xx-- make sure PARGCF is enabled (mine was)
720-09-02 xxxx *x-- enable PAGR
720-11-01 xxx* xxxx xx-- Perimeter Alarm Text (mine is set to motion sensors)

BCM
726-02-02 x1xx x1xx xx-- Set Retrig config to enabled and security config to both
726-55-01 xxxx xx01 xx-- LIN CSM Config
726-65-01 xxxx xxx1 xx-- CSM Slave present

APIM
7D0-09-01 xxxx xxx* xx-- Enable PARGCF
7D0-09-02 xxxx xxxx *x-- Enable PAGR

Then do the BCM LIN new module configuration process.

I found it much easier to install the sensors after removing the console, the console back and the switch circuit board from the console. There are clips and screws that hold the switch circuit board in. Be gentle with the clips. I've pointed out the clips on one side in this photo by the big blue arrows.

I'm not sure if it make a difference, but I made sure the sensors are in the same order I've seen in other photos with the green in the middle, the red on the passenger side and the orange on the driver's side.

It's a service procedure in Forscan. Click on the wrench and look for it

Ok I did the forscan and I changed all the values that you suggested in this forum. the BCM Lin as you suggested I left a picture on the bottom of the one I used I gather BCM Lin is an abbreviation. I believe twice because it just showed 100% said success and didn’t give me any other prompts so I ended up shutting it down and there’s one of the picture of my cluster I get this message which one am I supposed to put it on yes or no I currently have it on no and I haven’t tested the system just yet thank you for you time.

That message prompt when turing off the truck can be enabled or disabled from the sync screen. It is so you can disable motion sensors if you leave something that moves in the truck (like a dog) and/or the windows down so the alarm doesn't go off if it detects motion inside the truck.

You can also enable or disable the motion sensor from the sync screen.

You can test the sensor by leaving it turned on and locking the truck with a window down. When you are ready, reach in the window and wave your arm a bit. The alarm should go off if everything is working.

I had opened this post thinking it was perhaps addressing the current concerns over people stealing our cars/trucks by hijacking our key FOB's. Some manufacturers are trying to combat this problem by modifying their technology to make that harder.

Does anyone here know of any recent changes (or anything in the works at Ford) to combat this trend? (other than the faraday cage stuff)

Ok so yes is off and no is on for the motion sensor? And I guess the bcm Lin was right?
