I'm pretty sure mine was 4 from the factory (the value 4 not Style 4)
I'm not affected by this security pack removal, I have a "21 Platinum, but I just want to thank Patrick for such an informative and thorough explanation and how-to. Great work! ?

My stock value is a 4, so when I add this sensor back I am not planning on changing any values for this line.

I have everything installed and programmed, Only problem is how do you do the BCM line new module configuration process? I have the menu system on my screen. I locked the doors with window down and waved my hand around and the alarm didn't go off the only thing I didn't do was new module configuration. Thanks

The LIN new module config is what let's the bcm know to reach out and look for the new sensor.

Park the truck on level ground. Start Forscan and connect to the truck. In Forscan you click on the wrench icon on the left. It will give a list of procedures. Select the BCM LIN new module config and run it.

It doesn't look like anything is happening and Forscan will have you cycle the ignition then say it completed.

After that try your test again.

Patrick It seems like it works, I have to really move things around in the truck to set the alarm off. I tried rocking the truck .that didn't set any alarms off. Am I missing something? Do you know what these DTCs are?

Thanks

I'm not sure what those dtcs are - you can click on the yellow triangle DTC in Forscan and get more info, and clear them. I assume when I'm messing with module programming the truck may throw some codes so at the end of the session I clear the DTCs.

The inclination sensor part is not going to trigger rocking the truck - that would be an impact sensor (part of Ford's perimeter security plus add on). The inclination sensor should trigger if you jack up a wheel high enough to take it off.

Mine doesn't take too much motion to set off. Did you get the sensors completely seated in the console? If they are only partially seated you will experience reduced sensitivity or even no triggering.

As far as I know they were seated, they were flush and clips seated. I never did find LIN new module config. I did found module Calibration and ran that one

I reset the the DTcs, it looks like everything is working good, I was setting in the truck and moved my hand and it went off. I appreciate all your work brother. Thanks again

Went to install the sensor as I fully expected it to be a dummy box since my window sticker says advanced security removal and my as built files show this sensor not enabled, and low and behold I have what appears to be a legit box. Not sure why it would be installed but not activated, so I will try the Forscan changes to see what happens, and might have a module for sale.

So turns out I got a $50 credit simply for Ford not enabling the intrusion sensor. Made the Forscan changes and everything works. Looks like I have a sensor available if someone is interested.

When you make the changes in Forscan you will get an alarm menu on the sync screen that let's you turn on and off the motion sensor and enable or disable a prompt on the instrument panel when you turn off the engine.
i found this module out on a 2020 f250 will it work would you?

I would say no - it only has 2 sensor wires and the 2021+ F150 sensor module has 3.

Well you can try it out. You'd have reduced capabilities in the sensoring realm. It may work with less fidelity. To give you an idea of how they work, I had my windows in the MME down about 4" and tossed a t-shirt into the car and it set off the sensors. That module is simply an in-vehicle motion sensor. Personally I don't leave my windows down unless I'm close by, and rarely is it enough for someone to get something. Opening a door will already set off the alarm if it's locked or not.

Question, does using the keypad to lock the doors have any bearing on the alarm activating vs using the fob or manually locking using the key in the driver door?

The alarm will arm regardless of how or even if the truck is locked.
