For anyone who is curious, I’m sure there are a high number of trucks approaching 100,000 miles. Which is a perfect time to do a filter swap. Just did a filter and fluid service on a fleet f150 with the 5.0. 100,000 exactly on the odometer. I’ll post some pics of the filter and the fluid. Fluid had more metallic flakes than I would have expected which is hard to tell from pics. Was a process that could easily be done on a garage floor on ramps. I had a full shop at my disposal which helped a lot.
Filter also has a magnet on the bottom with uh caught quite a bit of debris. Transmission shifted fine and no issues. Truck isn’t ran to hard and I believe towing is minimal. Was about 6 1/2 quarts to get it between 5 & 6 on the dipstick at 205 degrees. I have torque specs and procedures if anyone is interested.
