3.5L PowerBoost Have you ever tested the transmission fluid before a service?

I was just looking at how much of a pain it appears to change the transmission fluid, especially where the dipstick is.

I was thinking I would do my first change between 30k/50k, but then I thought maybe I should suck out a little transmission oil and send it off to Blackstone oil labs for testing. Originally I was going to do it after it got drained, but thinking maybe it will tell me I have 10 or 20k more on the oil. I know Ford says to wait until 150k, but that seems stupid, with the cost of transmissions and if you are towing anything.

Has anyone done this?

At 33k, no testing needed for me!!

Yes, I do oil analysis and (usually) grab a sample while draining old fluid out.
