I just took my new (to me) 2021 limited powerboost on a 450 mile road trip. It drove great! But I noticed an odd and humming sound from time to time while cruising on the highway that would only last for maybe 1/2 a second. It didn't seem to make a difference if I was driving with or without the cruise control on. And it might just be in my head, but I think the tach jumped up ever so slightly every time it did it. But it starts and stops so quickly that by the time I focus on the gauges, its not doing it anymore.
It was a deep humming sound. Almost like running over a texture in the road way. No vibrations or warning lights. Nothing to indicate that it was a problem. But in my head I imagine it was the sound of the EV motor surging to maintain speed. (the humming or buzzing sound you associate with some kind of high voltage equipment)
Has anyone else heard of this? And should I be concerned? This truck is days old to me and I'm still learning what to expect from it.
