No thanks.

Because of no physical buttons, I'm looking at used vehicles for the first time in my life.

And I get company plan pricing.

Unbelievable how they call "reducing part complexity" a boost to quality when literally no one EVER had their AC buttons fail.

The 10r80 -> now that is a piece of complex junk unless you want to get a properly built one by the aftermarket for $8k+.

They've lost their minds. I don't want to play video games in my Expedition.. do they think I'm stupid??

What's sad is I was in a Ford focus group a couple years ago that centered on the interiors and we unanimously shot down all designs like this citing lack of physical buttons made it look too cheap and like too much like a Tesla. I even spoke with the people heading it up and one of the things they commented about afterwards was how consistent the opinions were against this type of layout from all the groups they had had so far about it yet Ford still went with it...

Thank you for posting because I do appreciate learning new things like this. I will say this, I've seen the vertical screens like in the 2025 Ranger, and I like the portrait mode better.

That said, the only reason I upped to my 2024 is it still had the buttons and knobs. I am progressive, but I like buttons and knobs. It's the physical embodiment of "You had one job!" and if you've given a button or knob that many controls to make it "complex" then you need to rethink the button or knob!

While I appreciate Ford's desire to innovate, I really wish they would direct that energy inwards. The cams used for backup and 360 are circa 1972... innovate with better IP cameras. I had to splice into wiring to add a backup camera; add a port. I have Ford TPMS on my trailer and a menu in my system screen, but no way to connect the two. Lots you can do...

Interesting I've been asking everybody how to do this and nobody can even tell me if you have to have a kit versus just sensors with the right frequency or how it connects.

Those physical buttons add a lot of cost. Design, build, install, support.

Maybe I am just too old but vehicles have too much tech now…but it isn’t slowing down. Look at the BYD tech and you’ll see where this is going.

I hate all this frickn tech. I just want to have a quiet truck with buttons that I control everything and stream my phone. I don't need any other driving aids. And F Google. If this crap is in the 2027 F150 I'm out. And as soon as a carmaker eliminates def in diesel, my F350 is getting traded in.

There’s a kit for SuperDuty trucks that ties a camera and a TPMS relay into a 12 pin port that plugs in under the 7 pin. I had to splice into wiring on my 22 and swap out my 7-4 plug for the 7-12 it comes with. Click here to see the kit. There’s an awesome thread on here for how to do it… I bookmarked this page when I used it. As for finding cameras and sensors that just work, well that’s beyond my skill set.

What I can't stand about the tech is that there is literally no manual on what it is and how to use it.

What do you get with "Connected Services"? I called Ford and they couldn't even describe it. Also, my dealer is clueless.

What are the commands to say when you hit the speak button and the screen says "ask a question"? Every time I try to ask a question it says "Sorry, I don't understand". Apparently my system is connected to Alexa because my Ford Pass says I have a subscription. I have no idea how to efficiently use this tech and can't find any info (or a manual or guide) on Youtube or the internet.

When I look for a gas station or food stop using navigation while driving it says "Are you the passenger"? Yet this commercial shows the driver hitting all the screen buttons, playing a movie and playing a video game. Lol

No way I will ever pay a subscription for this.

I really don't like the new system, I have a 2025 Explorer with it and it acts like a big Android phone/Android auto. I much prefer the Sync 4 in my truck. I don't need to watch youtube in my car.

Why must they all have the infotainment screen sticking up out of the dash like this???
Exactly!! Like they throw a cheap tablet on the dash. This alone has kept my family from buying so many different vehicles.
