Submitted my pictures over a week ago. Still haven’t heard from my dealer.

Calling on Monday to remind them that I have a broken passenger side bolt since they didn’t take any pictures of it this time.

I just had my axles replaced today … took one appointment to verify and another to do the work … I am trading the truck in a few days , just waiting for the new one to arrive at the dealer …

Me too. Going to ask about the rear camera recall as well and heck, since I'm there, might as well get the 10,000 mi maintenance done. I want to be the first on my block to not have any active recalls. :ROFLMAO:

Was told they are going to take pictures and submit to Ford, hopefully parts will come in quick. So tired of this stupid recall. Some people get their new axles the same day or I was told 2-4 days. FORD you need to do a better job, I called 4 dealers and was told three different things. My dealer told me only broken bolts are getting done... So over this.

Originally my dealer said, yes they would order the parts... then when i showed up they said it had to be broken to replace, (had a service appointment that day), came back to pick up the truck and they said ford approved the replacement and a couple days later they where replaced.

I don't blame you Snakebitten. If I didn't have a 3k mile camping trip next month, I would just wait. I did ask the service guy how many they have done and he said around 10 so far.

And I don't blame you for wanting it done before a long away from home with the family towing road trip.

Except I gotta be honest....
If push came to shove, I'd remove the factory bolts and replace them with Ace Hardware equivalents.
And if you are lucky, removing them just might shear one if it was already destined to break. (they certainly are NOT all destined to shear)

My point being, I don't want you to be fretting over this trip. That trip is what owning trucks are all about.

I got a text (while I was serving on jury duty) Monday saying I was scheduled for the max tow recall this Friday.

I thought to myself "damn, it would be nice to be asked." I stopped by the dealer after I got dismissed due to speaking my mind when the defense attorney asked me several questions and found out I wasn't a bleeding heart liberal.

The service department thought my name was Frank........it isn't. So I asked if they had the parts in stock for my recall. Service called and the parts guy said yes, they had been there for almost two weeks :rolleyes:

They got me scheduled for first thing Friday, but I walked out of there less confident than ever in the service department. The technicians have been solid, so I will keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well, and this doesn't impact my wife and I's 25th anniversary trip out to Colorado.
