Yup. I typically get it once or twice a week with my Galaxy S25+.

I get it now and the with iPhone. I just go to sync/ phone and hit connect or play icon

It may be updated by a future software fix. It's annoying, but if you turn off your phone's wifi then turn it back on, it will usually connect.

My 22 Limited does do the same thing once in about 3 weeks, I either restart the truck or what was stated above.

I usually don't have to turn it back on. It just connects automatically. It's just really annoying that it keeps dropping out/
I think I'm probably going to just stop using it. Disappointing!

I have only noticed it when I get out of the truck with the phone. It seems to reconnect without issue, but I may not have been paying that much attention. S24+

There is a TSB on this issue of intermittent connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay:
TSB 25-2048 The reprogramming of several modules is covered under the original warranty, or under a Ford ESP. I've had the software updates done at the dealer and it resolved the issue of intermittent Bluetooth connection with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Hell yes this happens often, sometimes not at all and other times 3 or 4 times a day. I restart the truck information system being that my phone is always connected to something and NEVER HAS THIS PROBLEM, there fore the issue is with the trucks Android system.

Yeah it happens, what fixes it depends on the situation.

If it was already connected and then lost connection, going to the app menu and connecting will fix it.

If Im just getting in the truck, and it never connects fully to begin with and gives me that message, the only way I've been able to fix it is by completely killing the truck, opening/shutting the door to get sync to fully shut down, waiting a minute or 2, and then starting the truck back up. Even restarting my phone won't do it. It's definitely some sort of bug with Sync.

Mine also occasionally does this thing where android will connect briefly, and the map will pop up, and then it will crash, even if i plug it in via USB. it's been a while since that one happened, so i forget if resetting the phone fixes that one or not.

Check your wifi settings on the phone. I have a Galaxy S22 and I found if I use the intelligent wifi and some other settings that would automatically connect to better wifi, as I drive by "available" networks I'd get drops. I turned that off and I no longer get drops. This may not be your issue but definitely helped me.

I've noticed in the last few weeks, my phone will periodically not connect when I start the truck and I have to go in and connect it. This has just started happening. I don't know if this is a recent update or just something that started due to the phone. I just did a update with FDRS on the sync system to the latest, so it might be a bug in the update.

@Kanuck Since you have access to FDRS, did you update all the modules listed in
TSB 25-2048 ?
