We created a rule, 20 years ago, that our monthly payment does not exceed $500 (then for 36 months, now we go to 48). We use whatever down payment is necessary to get us there.
The truck was financed at 0.9% for 48, almost free money nowadays.
When we bought the Aviator last year, I made the...
I have had the lane centering try to pull the steering wheel away from me on a couple of occasions after engaging cruise. I am more careful now when I engage it. Cruise is supposed to make things easier, but this current iteration makes me not want to use it.
When mine went bad, I no longer had a hybrid function. Once the engine started, it did not shut off until I turned it off.
It would do this intermittently over the couple of months before I could get it fixed.
It has been nearly a year since I changed the setting to the extended timer. I have not had a single issue since. Seems strange to me, but I know logic and controls can get very complicated.
I finally received the update. I had not realized it was going to be a multiple part update. I thought I received it months ago.
The truck does not hunt nearly as much as it used to.
Lane change works, but I wish there was more feedback. My wife's car gives you a graphic showing that it is going...
Mine rattles during the winter. Good thing I live in the south and do not have to live with it long. I also had the bellows cover come loose. It would pop when the glass was opened. Just reattached it.
My 2017 would not slide, just tilt.
I like the open feel, so I will continue to have one...
25k, 2022 3.5 PB
No fluid change
No issues, seems smoother after a reset of the tables. Barely know it is shifting.
My 2017 3.5 eco with 65k would accelerate to get from 1 to 3 and then there was a harsh shift from 3 to 4 (to close together?) when it would not skip. 5 and up was smooth.
No...
The replacement of my BISG was straight forward. It took the dealer a couple of days to get the part.
Dropped the truck on Monday, picked it up later in the week. I did have to take it in twice to get the correct diagnosis, but that was the only issue.
My MIL's truck, 2024 5.0 V-8, had the same...
My MILs 2024 Lariat 502 5.0 6700 miles, threw this code over the weekend. Code p0929. Oasis tab 25-2045. Shifter replacement required.
Dropped truck on Monday and ready by end of day on Tuesday.
Manager said that they have seen this issue frequently lately.
I have only noticed it when I get out of the truck with the phone. It seems to reconnect without issue, but I may not have been paying that much attention. S24+
I think the PB is just plain cool. Sitting in the parking lot, stopped in traffic, etc with the AC blasting away while on battery power. Moving the truck in and out of the garage on weekends without having to fire up the ICE. I drive mostly highway and interstate so I not get to use all of the...
I do not know, I wear Costas. I am using our 25 Aviator for reference. I assume it would be similar to the F150s. I can see it if Iook directly at it, but it is easy to miss, even with the brightness turned all the way up.
It is still better than a Q8 that I test drove when they first came out...
I guess it does pay to check in ever so often. I just did the 12 month complimentary extension.
Maybe I will get 1.4 before 2027....
My wife's 25 aviator has 1.4 and it is hands down better.
For the reasons mentioned above, less for more $$, I will be holding off until the next generation. The 22's got most of the stuff from the 21's and ever year since has seemed to have less. My 2017 even had features that Ford has since deleted.
HUD would be nice, but I cannot see it well with...
Thank you to the people here at this forum.
By reading and researching through the various posts, I was able to locate the information needed for the dealer to diagnose my issues and get the truck fixed.
As we a few other members with a Powerboost that would not always go into electric mode...
Since my last post, I have not noticed any issues with the electric mode.
I have also received the 10.1.1 (battery) update during this time.
Thinking I might be in the clear, the truck failed to go into electric today.
It was an interesting situation. I was in one city, everything working fine...
My 22 was "normal" until recently. Anytime I was less than 45 mph, the truck would go into electric mode as long as the battery was charged. Letting off of the accelerator or touching the breaks, electric mode would kick in.
Now, sometimes it still has this behavior, sometimes it will not go...
