I have the 4" BDS kit with Fox 2.5 DSC's all the way around. I'm on 37x12.5x20 Toyo Open Country A/T III tires. OEM upper and lower control arms. Ride is just fine with some expected harshness from Load Range "E" tires, and I've had no issues with the Fox 2.5's.
FWIW, On a different truck...
I’ll agree in part that the turbos don’t generate heat on their own—the heat comes from the exhaust stream—but the turbo does introduce restriction at the turbine inlet. That restriction elevates exhaust gas pressure and temperature right at the manifold-to-turbo junction. There’s a reason the...
@Rockman5159 Get a suction device from Harbor Freight (for oil exchanges or brake fluid exchanges etc...) suck out the pan and refill with the exact same amount of Ford ULV fluid then do a Transmission Adaptive Table reset using ForScan and enjoy your truck again.
Charge your new battery to 100% before install and then reset the BMS. FWIW, After a few months I set my SOC to 90% and suddenly started getting OTA updates.
It looks like the one being offered here is Ford Part # PC3Z-26310B17-AA
It does appear to be about $650 on one example website. Even Tasca has it for $633.
MSRP $965 ??!? Geez... Is it made of billet machined titanium and lockable?
@Sonnie You're welcome for un-sabotaging your thread.

They also have a good cleaner I've used that doesn't harm the color in any leather:

@f150TX I have 37" Toyo Open Country R/T tires in Load Range E. They do run pretty stiff. I keep mine at 40psi cold. I tried them at 35 psi but they made quite a bit of road noise when at lower psi.
I would also caution you about the speed rating of a Load Range E tire. Mine have a "Q"...
@fmdog44 Nope.... Leaf Blowers can be for blowing the water off the entire vehicle, and when you have a ceramic or graphene coating you often don't even have to use a drying towel afterwards. The water slides off the ceramic so easily that it often doesn't need further drying (just a good...
Pelican case in the bed (I have a folding hard cover), or in the back seat area (covered under the seat as much as possible so you can't look through the window and see the tell-tale Pelican case) .... NEVER left unattended overnight, anywhere. On a road trip I don't even like going into a gas...
I posted in another thread on SOC settings, but in case it helps anybody else... I wanted to post my journey to finally getting OTA updates.
I hadn't been getting OTA updates except just one for the audio system in about 1.5 years of ownership. I got ForScan soon after my truck purchase and...
My post and interest here is really related to OTA Updates... I came here looking for some consensus on the optimal SOC setting. After reading through the thread I settled on 90%. I used the easy method in ForScan to make the change. I have a new (5-6 months ago) H8 battery (I did the BMS...
I stand corrected. I checked for codes in ForScan and had one related to the IPMA that said something about "Rear Camera 2 not Calibrated". So I did have to do the rear camera calibration. It was a two step process in the Service Procedures. First do the LIN "initialization", then the "rear...
I agree with this post... I added a couple steps of my own, but I use basically the same process. My truck is Ceramic Graphene coated (Adam's Polishes) which does help speed up the washing because dirt and dust just don't stick as much.
Agreed... People need to be thankful that Ford offers this for FREE. I have a Jaguar and a Mercedes too and they want like $150 to $200 /year for their apps... I guess they figure if you can afford those cars you can afford the app too. Both brands apps are glitchy and the remote start /...
@brianm0643 No I didn't take anything down... Just pulled it downward with my hand and held it there while I slowly used the other hand to stick the foam in place. A helper would have been nice so they could hold it down while I used two hands to more precisely place the foam. There is a...
@brianm0643 Yep! Just went to Home Depot and bought a roll of some 1/2" foam weatherstrip that has self-adhesive on one side and stuck it on the entire width of the top of the front and back of the plastic piece (between the plastic piece and the glass)... problem solved.
I didn't have to recalibrate mine... Just plug and play. However I replaced a back-up camera on a 2013 F150 EB and I had to use ForScan to calibrate it in order for the lines to show up.
My bed camera was doing the exact same thing... Then it stopped working completely. You can get a new OEM one for about $50 if you shop around to dealers ... One dealer wanted like $200 (the closest one to me), another about 30 minutes away wanted about $60 (tax and everything) ... Same part...
