Been driving around with the flashdrive in my truck since Friday now, praying I hop in my truck one of these mornings and get that 'update successfully installed' message :cwl: Will give it about 3 more weeks of thinking before I warranty replace the APIM.

Also, how fast should I expect my PB hybrid battery to recharge? This was the current state of charge yesterday, I've also been leaving my truck on the tender every night hoping it well assist in case the update decides to trigger itself. We did notice the battery did steadily climb back towards 49-50% once the engine was running, just surprised it's still that low after sitting with a tender, and having done a few hours on the highway on saturday/sunday

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know how he got this version? FDRS or was this the version on his truck when he bought it?
Neither did I. I thought @farmtruckman was talking about his truck when he posted the APIM update information. He was actually talking about someone else’s.
This definitely wasn’t the version installed on the truck and came over the FDRS update.

Your Hybrid battery recharges is as little as 1 minute. And it does so multiple times every time you drive it.

Keep in mind that it operates between ~ 42% - 63% SOC almost always. It can occasionally drop below 42% or charge beyond 63% due to regenerative braking.

Ah okay, I didn’t realize that was the standard operating charge range. Only concerned me because I got a warning in the past regarding the APIM update saying the battery had to be above 50% and this fell slightly under that.

Still waiting for the update to kick off the flash drive so I’ve just been leaving the truck on a 2a pro logix tender overnight the last few days. If I’m needing to do a major update where I get that message again, should I just go drive and regen brake as much as I can before hooking it up to FDRS?

Is it normal for people to have problems waiting on the usb drive? Mine have always kicked off right away.

It’s because I’m stuck on the bad 1.7.1 OTA update from 2021/22. It should be smooth sailing once this updates my APIM but other members here have had to drive with the USB drive for up to 3 weeks before the truck updates off the flash drive

I don't think OTA updates are referring to the Hybrid Battery SOC. They are referring to the low voltage AGM battery SOC

That’s odd because I put a brand new Ford AGM battery in it last week and I’ve had it on the tender almost every night so I’m not sure how it would be depleted that much. Especially after being on a tender almost every night. Even if there was some sort of parasitic drain it shouldn’t drain that fast.

Did you reset the BMS when you replaced the battery?

Yes, I’ve reset it with the high beam / brake pedal procedure a couple times

Which SOC are you looking at?
It's a Powerboost. You have a high voltage battery SOC, and a low voltage battery(s) SOC.
Unless I'm mistaken, both of those BECM pids in your screenshot are the same high voltage (~300volt/Hybrid) battery.

One PID has decimal points. The other is rounded.

I did the PSCM update and steering is noticeably lighter on my truck in a good way.

Doing IPMA now since I finally got an extension cord... wish me luck.

And maybe will do the APIM as well.

Ok. IPMA completed finally.

I did need to give it multiple tries as the final "Configuring Module" step kept failing. Closing FDRS and reconnecting my Mongoose fixed this. Luckily FDRS saves your progress or at least can recognize if you just need to do the configuration step.

BUT

The ACC with Lane Centering (22 XLT w/out Blue Cruise) is at least 10X better now than before. SO much better in every way. Will definitely use it a lot more.

Thanks all for your help on this forum.

Also, the PSCM update changed EPAS and it made the truck a lot easier to handle - less laborious to steer at low and high speeds without killing steering feel (I think it actually feels more natural now).

I loaded the APIM update (last one) onto a USB that will be done tomorrow. Any idea how long this one will take?

If my USB update still doesn't kick off for a couple weeks would this be potential solution too?

Pulling the trim off and plugging into the USB receiver here and doing a module update repair through FDRS?

I'm not sure if that actually worked for anyone, where as leaving the USB in always worked.

Haha only have doubts because the weird issue I’m having with usb ports, but hopefully it will update off the flash drive in the Usb C port. I’ll give it a solid month before doing an APIM replacement
