I would use it if it were easy to switch on and off - I like it when I'm driving...however, it's an impediment when inching into the garage.

More handy than not. For scratch and swirls (car wash) going to neutral before it fully stops prevents it from engaging. Can be a little annoying if you're austin powers maneuvering. A quick little slap of the pedal will unlock the brakes without imparting throttle.

What are y’all’s thoughts on the “Auto Hold” feature? Menu setting from “Features” “Driver Assistance” “Auto Hold”. The feature that lets you take your foot off the brake while sitting at a red-light. You like it or not?
I use it all the time. I like it & thing it is a good feature on my 2023 F150 Platinum.

I have it enabled and use it all the time. Only time I've had it disabled was when the transmission aux pump was failing. My wife car has the feature, it doesn't have a physical button either. I can see where a physical button would be nice.
My two fun cars do not have the feature and I have to remind myself to leave my foot on the brake.

I like it. A physical button on/off switch would be nice to have. The problem I have is remembering when I drive other vehicles I don't have this feature anymore. For the car wash it gets added to the mental check list: windows & sunroof closed, mirrors in and auto hold off.

It is for Platty drivers in the long lines at the Starbucks drive through.

I don't like the auto hold because you can't just let off the brake and creep forward at an idle anymore with it on in slow traffic.

I leave it on constantly. The only time I shut it off is when I go through the car wash. I keep the Driver's Assistance screen set as a hot button at the bottom of the screen for easy access. Just one tap for the screen, then one tap to shut it off.
How do you set it up like this? I was using the auto hold for a while but decided to stop using it because I don't want to have to go search for it to turn it off when needed. I also wonder how it would work if driving in the ice and slamming on the brake pedal while in drive due to sliding on ice. Will the truck know to enable the ABS vs trying to auto hold the brakes?

I don't understand the carwash thing people are mentioning since you would be in neutral and wouldn't apply the brake anyway. It doesn't apply brake on its own until you have pressed and held the brake for a second or so.

I think it's my favorite feature on the truck. I like that it stays on when I first engaged it a while back. I've been in cars where you have to turn it on every single time you start the vehicle.

I use it. I like it. Yes, I too wish it had a physical button. I set "Driver's Assistance" as the on screen hot button. Two presses to turn it off. You MUST TURN IT OFF before going through automated car washes (the kind that pushes the truck along a track).
You're supposed to put the truck in neutral in those car washes and auto-hold does not activate in neutral (or reverse). When I used to use those carwashes, I never had a problem because of that.
