The air conditioner is the hidden mileage element in a PB. if it isn't enlisted to cool electronics and you aren't using it per cabin heating commands, you can get 2-3 MPG.

@FaaWrenchBndr yeah, it's always been there until 2024.
Getting rid of the huge "1.5" number on the tachometer was a plus for me. I prefer the cleaner look of the old school dial. Besides its super cool when you watch the tach drop to zero as you enter electric mode.

I wonder if our forscan experts know of a way to load different screens to the main gauge cluster? Like the raptor or upgrade to the 24 style? It has to be doable. Just like changing to a different startup screen

24 IPCs are completely different, particularly on the communication side. There's a solid wall between 23 and 24s on a handful of components where there's no cross compatibility at all and no way to make such happen.

I haven’t used “eco mode” in months. Never really found it to be anything other than reduced sensitivity to the pedal input; however, today I gave it another try and wow. They must have done an update in the last few months. Now even at highways speeds up to 62 mph (per my current data) it’ll kick into full electric without needing to use the “tap the brake technique”. I got 27 mpg on the way to work today rather than my usual 22-23. Pretty happy with the new function of eco mode on the PB so far.

I look forward to trying eco mode again.

That’s why I requested physical needles on my 22 302A

I’ve notice driving in normal mode it kicks into electric mode above 50 recently. It’s never done that in the last 2 years. Maybe I need to try eco again too

What does this mean ? I don’t understand what you are saying.

With less payload witch equals less towing and hauling capacity I would expect MPG to be much higher than the the standard 3.5. I've owned two with the 3.5 echo boost and the extra torque and horsepower the Powerboost gives makes no sense if you need it for max towing and hauling. But the same could be said for the platinum, king ranch, and limited with the pathetic payload. My buddy I get the X plan from is a retired Ford employee with a power boost. He will admit, he doesn't need a truck. Therefore he enjoys it. He knows I wouldn't. This is what confuses me. I have attempted to purchase a PB twice and both times told it wasn't for me. On here it's the ultimate truck. It has limits. I own a generator. I want more MPG and dependability. Service records at 2 dealerships in Metro Detroit show the 3.5 eco. 2.7, and 5.0 being the most reliable. Not even close. Salesman took me to the service manager when I asked. Like he said they have to give you the longer warranty....You will use it. The PB is either problem free or a disaster. I could have gotten another 2k off for going With a PB. Throwing tools in it would of maxed out payload. Like EV they need to work on the technology. I get excited about a PB super duty until I realize we will be a guinea pig for years. I think we're getting away from what a truck was built for not all the BS that's on it that causes all these problems. I gave up 11 month old Lariat and now a 24 XLT that's a POS. I couldn't imagine worrying about the technology in a PB. My point is these trucks have become extremely expensive, and currently unreliable. so don't buy them over the gimmicks. Purchase them for what you need. I said what I said.
Ford has refined the software significantly, obsoleting most of the initial complaints. They've also prioritized updates around its functionality. Most of FUD around it is outdated as of today. It's also capable of more torque than the blown 5.2 liter motor in the raptor R, which happens to be above what the trans is rated for, but the truck is programmed to not let the combined motors generate more than 600ftlbs of torque. The electric motor alone is capable of 220ftlbs and the 3.5 another 500+.

2023 Limited PB vs 2018 3.5 EB... no comparison at all... 2023 very sluggish unless you're in Sport. 2018 very peppy, and a monster in Sport. 2018 was 2 mpg better than the 2023. Why, oh why, did I trade in my 2018??? Guess it was that the wife liked the seats in the 2023 better and was tired of hard acceleration in the 2018.
Just test drove a 2024 King Ranch w/3.5 EB... short answer, going to order a 2025 KR. It's the best of both worlds... comfort of the Limited with pep and gas mileage of the 3.5 EB. As far as the 7.2 generator on the PB, haven't used it a single time in the 9 months of ownership. Win, win for me!

There are a few things that need to be met for the hybrid system to work properly. You can check all of these by clicking through the menu and finding the “power flow” screen. It’ll tell you what the hybrid system is doing and why.

Typically lack of full electric stems from engine being cold, load or “power output” too high (throttle position), ac or heater setting (see engine too cold), or 12v battery system voltage low. Additionals outside stock form: heavier wheels and tires, and lifts as these limp the hybrid system. I purposely kept my tire weight less than 50lbs when upgrading.
