That has happened to many people where the HVAC update won't clear from the list after you do it. You can ignore it.
thanks!

I guess the over the air updates were working pretty well for me
as fdrs only showed the following...

audio front control module
body control module
head lamp control module
hvac module
ipma module
power steering control module

So, assuming I am looking at the correct thread, I suspect that I am on 1.7.1 as well.
1.7.1. is September 2021 update.
The next update is 2.1.0 from December 2021. We don't know when in December this update was pushed, but my truck was built on December 9, 2021, so there is a pretty good chance that my truck, although "Job 2", is still on 1.7.1.
Is this the thread you are referring to? https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...-history-thread-f-150-lightning-mach-e.16968/

You are after 21174 that is on that power up.
Your update details under software update screen might show something or it could be blank.
If the automatic update options are disabled you are potentially on the broken version of APIM software.
Either way post VIN in lookup thread for someone to investigate I'm just speculating.

I am on Software Version: 21223_PRODUCT Revision: 197 (SYNC Version) and my auto updates are on. I was told that I am stuck, waiting to dive into manual update with FDRS. Just wasn't sure where you can see which version you are on. Apparently SW version is different than SYNC version and you can only see it in FDRS from what I understand.

Hopefully this clears it up a bit:
On the GitHub doc that tonesto7 makes, there is a correlation between the powerup version and the SYNC version. You can see this as a point in the description of the powerup version:
Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS IMG_4600
Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS IMG_4601

As you can see, your version is between the two that have been listed in the doc. Whether you are actually stuck is something I don't know, but that's where you can see the equivalence between OTA version and SYNC version. Most likely an FDRS session to get you nearer to current will get OTAs flowing for you (provided the OTA prerequisites are met).

Yes to the above. You can guesstimate but not get a perfect idea. I was stuck on 22177 endlessly until I could give my truck it's first IPC update then the flood gates opened. Bought truck last year with no decimal point on odometer.

My truck history below and I was a little ahead of you. It is possible you may be in the same situation and my truck just happened to update everything except IPC until it got stuck.

5/6/23
22177 sync version at start 10:30AM
DDM Drivers door
PDM Passenger door
PCM Powertrain
ABS
GSM Gear shift
SCCM Steering column
BCM body control
CCM cruise control included these...
IMPA image processing (3 hours)
PSCM power steering
IPC instrument panel (CAN bus, 6 hours)
GWM gateway (USB)
APIM sync version 22192 (USB) 10:30PM
GWM gateway (CAN bus, 3 hours) 1:30AM

5/7/23
APIM sync version 22293, skipped over 22228 (6GB USB, Alexa update) 2:40PM
TCU Telemetrics (USB)
GWM gateway (USB)
APIM sync version 23031 (6GB USB)
GWM gateway (USB)
TCU Telemetrics (USB) 8PM

7/17/23
IPC update 4.3.3
DSP update
GWM update 4.3.5

OTA
8/12/23 22-PU1009-PPO-SI
10/17/23 4.3.6 (APIM) 23167
10/19/23 6.1.0 (GWM)
10/27/23 6.2.0 (GWM)
11/30/23 6.3.0 (APIM) 23291
12/01/23 6.4.0 (TCU)
12/12/23 6.5.0 (SCCM)
12/15/23 23-PU0813-DOR-UP2 (DOORS)
01/08/24 6.8.0 (IPC)
01/24/24 23-PU0110-RAD-PS (ACM)
03/01/24 23-PU1113-UNX-DC (TCU)
03/14/24 22-PU1009-TLC-CSM2 (BCM)
04/04/24 23-PU1009-SS-NS (ABS,PCM)

Once you fix your stuck truck eventually the updates should start working normally as several of us have experienced. :)

Thank you both, @SilverPigeon and @fordtruckman2003 , for the explanation. At least now I am aware of the term "powerup" version :giggle:

To complete my full (hopefully) understanding of this - there is no way to see which powerup version I am currently on other than connecting to FDRS, correct? I see people post "Just got this version, just got that version", where do I see that?

Others may have better explanations of this, but as far as I know there are two ways the actual powerup version can be seen:
1. When an OTA has completed, a message will come up on the SYNC (infotainment) screen and / or
2. You get a notification in the FordPass app of the powerup version after an OTA.
3. (I'm not sure of this) if you or someone has access to PTS, it may be seen in that ford system. You can ask someone to check that on the "request VIN lookup" thread.

@sbi
honestly the best way is to update your truck fully via fdrs, that way you know you are on the latest and it becomes your baseline regardless of what 'power up' version you are on as it's irrelevant.

track going forward from there

Thanks. So there is no way other than after an update.

Which is what I'll do, I was just curious if there was a way to know which version, like it shows SYNC version. Apparently Ford does not show it. Thanks.

Go on update screen, same screen you see automatic updates on, hit update details or whatever it is called. It will show last installed update, or nothing at all. 50/50 chance if you have been stuck so long. Mine was blank when I was stuck. Now it shows the update version from couple weeks ago.

Nothing there, keeps saying no updates available. Waiting for cable to start the manual process. Thanks!

Well after 5 long days of updating, I've finally got my truck all up to date and bluecruise active! Thanks to @Big Dog Daddy @Jesse-Infotainment @rugedraw and everybody else that helped me and others get thru this process. 14 SW updates in FDRS turned in to about 43 updates total!
