dose any one else have a problem updating Apim module it get to 50% tells me to key off wait 10mins and when i turn key on 2 to 3 mins later tells me key off 10mins again like stuck in loop

That doesn't make sense. APIM is updated via USB. Try rebooting APIM holding volume down / track forward on steering wheel and see what it says once it reads the USB again. It will either update or tell you to turn off truck for 10 minutes. Just hop out and come back 10m later and turn it back on and it should say update complete, remove USB.

I had considered the livernois tune but passed for that reason, the 21+ comes with some silly hoops for the PCM modifications

Does unlocking prevent this issue? Figured a PCM update would still overwrite your custom tune.

Nobody seems to know, they say it disables factory calibration tools so I'm assuming yes but I'll update the thread when I can confirm

Anything 502a and up is fine, so you're good. I did mine and many others have with no issue.

Yea, I don't normally let GWM, APIM, TCU, or especially PCM/ABS sit.

I wasn't expecting the PCM update. Don't know how I missed that news.
Or maybe it was mentioned and I just have a case of oldtimers.

I thought the APIM update could be done with the truck running???

He referring to the restart portion. There is always a restart required part of usb updates.

He is have a restart loop. So when they restart it pops up restart required again rather than update successful

I haven’t seen anyone else with issues so mine be a one off scenario but my BCM update caused 12v and brake system faults. I had to have @Jesse-Infotainment roll mine back.

No, you can just sell it on the forum or ebay. I have lent my Mongooses to many people around the country who have used it on different trucks with no issues.

While it is technically permanently registered to you only mongoose themselves has access to the information, there is no deactivation or anything of the sort, I would potentially be interested in buying your cable to add to my inventory of loaners, it seems the more we get the bigger the wait-list becomes
