ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Did the 21 updates today, IPMA and BCM failed, the rest all installed. IPMA and BCM are no longer in S/W update tab after rescan. I have a 21 PB Lariet 502a job1. Will they show back up?

Those who have done the newest IPMA update, do you recall how long it sat there doing “the module will now be configured”? I can’t tell if I’m stuck in an endless loop. I don’t recall it taking that long at the configuring part.

I didn't watch it like a hawk, but the whole procedure from start to finish "Turn key to off" was about 3 hours long.

Keys weren’t left in it but when I came back opened door, entry lighting and cluster deal came on. Then back off. Keys not on for some reason though i left it on. Just turned the key on… see if maybe that was the issue.

Update: I think it was done and stuck in a loop state. I went ahead and aborted the procedure. Ran network scan. IPMA update disappeared. Cleared all DTCs, back to green on all modules now. Just the PSCM update left.

After PSCM update it automatically came up with the IPMA and configured it super quick and was successful. Glad Ford has that dialed in to know where it last left off..

You can fool your truck into thinking there's a trailer, right?

Yes.. Someone here did just that to test all this stuff out, I want to say it was maybe Antho. Anything you plug in that shows enough resistance should do it. I bet one of those 3rd brake light hitch insets that plug into your trailer plug would do it.

Downside is, your truck thinks you are pulling a trailer so you lose the things that get disabled when you are towing a trailer.

I’m looking forward to the feature for when I am towing!

You can runa pmi. or try to run a configuration. Not a huge deal if you dont have any DTCs

It didnt fail though in the sense the update didnt install it did

With the new IPMA update you can now enable a view the 23 SUperDuty has I like. This works in motion as well

Interesting. I had this view before the IPMA update. But now after the update I have the turn signal view when my trailer is attached.

I am wading into doing my own update. I have FDRS 38.5.7 installed and bought/applied the license. When I go into FDRS and try to login, I get the "cannot reach FDRS servers" popup message. In searching this thread, I saw another person who got the same message. They fixed it by reverting to an older version (V34 in their case).

1) Is this the method around this issue? Is there an issue with 38.5.7...?
2) If so, where can older FDRS versions be found? THe SW download page only shows this current 38.5.7 version.

PS - I ran all of the Network diagnostics. All tests passed.
