Now at 8,600 miles, I'm still loving my 2023 F-150 XLT 3.5L EB 302A 4x4 6.5'. A masterpiece of a truck.

One of the many great things about my rig is how quiet it is in the cab, until about 6 months ago when an intermittent rattle developed on the passenger-side dashboard. It was was driving me insane. But it was intermittent, and maybe only occurred 40% of the time. The dealer couldn't identify it, and I was feeling pretty bummed. I was actually hoping it would get worse so the dealer could find it.

I finally found it, and wanted to put it on the forum to help anybody else who might have this issue and search the forums in the future. Turns out it was the thin fascia covering on the A Pillar on the passenger side (picture attached). It was not properly adhered to the pillar and was ever so slightly flapping about. As a very temporary measure, I simply folded a card in half and wedged it to hold the fascia piece against the pillar (RATTLE GONE!), and from here I'll either ask the dealer to properly fix it when I'm in for my next oil change, or more likely, just cut a super thin and inconspicuous piece of black foam to permanently wedge it.

Hope this helps someone!

My rattle comes from my passenger side center console kick panel.
I thought I had a rattle coming from my passenger side center console panel but I found out it’s from the console lid. I have the work surface but this could apply to all console lids. I was missing one of the rubber bumpers used to drop the console lid from hitting the console and making noise. I bought a similar rubber bumper and it solved my rattle. Might want to double check to see if you are missing any of the rubber bumpers.

Mine does come from the kick panel. I didn't reinstall it properly when I installed my BoostAutoParts wireless phone charger. Messed around with all the panel fitments and fixed that rattle. My A-pillar does occasionally rattle. When I make time I'll disassemble and add some felt pads to see if that eliminates that rattle.

I have one that I cannot find. It sounds like it is behind the cab, but when I shake the truck from outside I do not hear it. I wonder if it is the rear suspension.

I can't stand rattles and squeaks. It drives me insane. If I hear something I'll get my wife to push different places to see if it stops then go after it and try stopping it.

This post resolved my cold weather rattle. I have a 2023 F150 XLT and when the air temperature in the truck gets below 60 degrees, I get a rattle on the passenger side and have hunted all over that section. Saw this post and tried a thin piece of soft black rubber and my rattle is gone. I looked everywhere but that section. Thanks for the post !

I've been using EVA boat flooring around my truck to stop rattles. Had some rolls laying around because I'd applied some to my boat where people were stepping to board from the dock. Comes in a variety of sizes/colours.

I put small strips of this under the bed cleats as they would rattle and it drove me nuts if the rear slider was open. Fixed it for pennies.

I’m a rattle freak. Had this same one as OP. Pretty sure I’ve got a post here with all my various rattle exploits. Notecards you can jam in gaps help to find the rattles.

It’s easy to pop off the A-Pillar trim piece. Get a sheet of adhesive felt from a fabric shop. Trim small strip with scissors and stick to the dash or A-Pillar and reinstall.

Gone.

Can always have dealer do it but it’s easy.
