Jesse believes that unless you have nav the speed signs will timeout.

Below is what worked for me. My truck is a ‘22 302A that has the navigation and Sirius XM delete. If you don’t have a trailer tow package your 720-03-02 value may be different due to the “Trailer Sway” setting. C was the correct value for me (Max Tow) as it kept all of the factory settings the same and only changed TSR enabled. I did not find the TSR IOD setting at 720-03-01 to have any impact on the function of the traffic sign recognition so I omitted changing that line. For 720-09-01, even though you don’t have 360 cams there’s still a forward facing camera behind the windshield (rear view mirror area), that’s what’s used for the speed sign recognition and the forward collision warning.
IPC
720-09-01 xxxx xxxx 9x--
720-03-02 xxCx xx--
APIM
7D0-09-02 xxxx x5xx xD--
IPMA
706-01-01 xx4x xxxx xx--
706-02-01 5xxx xxxx xx--
Also, seeing as you don’t have Nav, if you’re using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and want to see the turn by turn info in your gauge cluster, you can make the below changes:
720-05-01 xxxx x1xx xx—
720-10-01 xxxx xx4x xx—
My ‘21 with Nav had this feature and I wanted it back. Most probably don’t know what they’re missing, but coming from a ‘21 it was immediately obvious to me.
Yup! I actually made those changes first before figuring out the speed sign recognition. After some reading I think im going to skip the attempt at enabing the Sign Recognition due to the lack of navigation. With that said do you think the turn by turn changes will still work if I just change those two values?
720-05-01 xxxx x1xx xx—
720-10-01 xxxx xx4x xx—
Nice! Are these generic for all trucks or should I look deeper in the spreadsheet to make sure the values are proper for my configuration?Yup! I actually made those changes first before figuring out the speed sign recognition.
It should be pretty generic for all trucks. I’ve cross referenced it with a few different trims and a Raptor was different for 720-10-01 so higher trims may be slightly different but they typically have considerate prompts already enabled.Nice! Are these generic for all trucks or should I look deeper in the spreadsheet to make sure the values are proper for my configuration?
My truck doesn't have Nav, at least active, since I never signed up for Navigation. Yet it shows speed limit signs, and they don't go away. It doesn't show speed limit on really back water roads.Jesse believes that unless you have nav the speed signs will timeout.
Are you sure that it is reading speed signs and not using the stored speed values from the navigation maps?My truck doesn't have Nav, at least active, since I never signed up for Navigation. I don't know how it's doing what it's doing. Just know the speed limit sign in the dash changes when I pass a speed limit sign on the sign. I know I never signed on to Ford's navigation program. I still use my Garmin 660 RV navigation program. Are you sure that it is reading speed signs and not using the stored speed values from the navigation maps?
Based on what your saying, it sounds like it is using the speed limit data stored in your maps. Where I live, I noticed that what showed on the IPC was incorrect more often than I liked. I switched to the speed sign recognition which solved that problem, but the speed limit information now disappears completely if a speed sign isn't recognized for a certain period of time.I don't know how it's doing what it's doing. Just know the speed limit sign in the dash changes when I pass a speed limit sign on the sign. I know I never signed on to Ford's navigation program. I still use my Garmin 660 RV navigation program.
Thanks for the encouragement. Last night I got the TBT with carplay to work. There is an option on the dummy mode of forscan so I didn't even have to manually change ASBUILT code. I tried the Sign recognition because there are also choices in the dummy mode. Couldn't get it to work even after enabling 4 choices on 3 different modules. I just reverted it back and will tinker with it another time. I did notice one thing that I was wondering if you know what it could be. Under the APIM is a choice for "Navigation Repeater in Cluster Setting" I did not enable it because I used "Turn by turn navigation" in the IPC module. Any insight about what the cluster setting would enable?Yup! I actually made those changes first before figuring out the speed sign recognition.
