I have searched and searched and searched, and I could have sworn I saw it somewhere.. but now that I need it- Ofcourse I can’t find it.

I put in the 21 hvac with the digital temp dials, and I thought someone posted the forscan change to remove hvac temp ° from the top bar of the 12” touch screen.

if anyone can help I’d greatly appreciate it. It drives me nuts having the temps on the screen, I’d much rather just have the outside air temp lol.

thank you in advanced!

Were you able to test PSA with Bluecruise?
Low (No) Budget PSA Review...

Scientific: No. Not repeatable. Didn't test differences with speed sign recognition off, then on, then with PSA bit enabled and PSA off, then on. Probably need to repeat swapping Eco, Normal and Sport Modes as well since I believe selected mode impacts cruise control acceleration (and maybe braking).

Environment: 2021 F150 Platinum with BC and totally OTA updated.. received 6.2.0 yesterday AM. Not sure if FDRS updates are outstanding... Toll roads around Austin. Moderate traffic levels mid day.

Setting: PSA turned on with 0 MPH tolerance on APIM. Driving the speed limits. Eco Mode Set.

Results: BC at 75 MPH TWICE spotted the 55 MPH signs way off to the right that set the speed for the access road. I never use Speed Sign Recognition as it brakes hard when faced with a 20 MPH limit delta and it spots these access road limit signs all too often. These 2 times under PSA the braking was much more moderate than I remembered. I manually bumped speed back to 75 1 time and let PSA bump it up the other. Acceleration was moderate and behaved as I would want in Eco mode. Note: I would have wanted a little faster acceleration if running in Normal.. Certainly more in Sport.

My PSA corner test was a flyover from 1 toll road to another. I approached at 75 MPH and there were no speed limit signs. There was NO change in speed as we did the entire flyover at 75 MPH. To help you gauge degree of difficulty there was a yellow cautionary speed sign that said 45 MPH on the approach to the flyover. I was expecting PSA to slow the truck to 65 or so. Or maybe 55 as the WSA (Wife Speed Assist) alerts/chirps when I am over 55 on that flyover.

Conclusion: Perhaps used on a rural interstate (where access roads and limit signs don't exist) the function is useful. I REALLY don't like it suddenly braking ... surprising me and the drivers behind me when we are all cruising at 80. And I was disappointed in the lack of speed adjustment on the flyover.... There are not many highways where they have sharper turns...

Perhaps I am experiencing the PSA placebo effect and just think it brakes smoother.. I certainly didn't do a recent trial of speed sign recognition before turning on PSA. Or maybe enabling PSA with Forscan turns on the ability to select it in the APIM but, once selected, there isn't any code behind it and I have to wait for BC 1.3 to have it really work (slow for sharp corners, etc.)

As they say .... "Your mileage may vary."

Checking to see if it is possible for specific drive mode to be defaulted on start up? As in when you start the truck it's already in Sport. TIA

Nope. Ford has to default a drive mode and use that mode to do the EPA mileage tests. They picked Normal.

Low (No) Budget PSA Review...
Good overview. You know you have it if when the posted speed limit start decreasing and it'll start to slow down before the sign, not right at/after the sign when it actually changes the speed sign in the IPC. Or on sharp enough curves it will start to decrease speed all its own.

Question for you, do you have connected nav enabled or no? I really wonder if that has something to do with it as I'm about 99% sure that is where its pulling all its data from. Every other Ford connected vehicle out there and Ford on the back end collecting all the data of how fast people drive on what parts of the road.

Case in point, where I live, very rural, it is mostly hit but sometimes miss at times. However, I had an awesome test of last weekend in the Black Hills on a windy mountain road. Was on a good 20+ mile stretch where the speed limit never changed from 55, but my truck did a awesome job of slowing down before each turn to a good and safe turning speed, sometimes 45 to 35 yellow turn speed signs. Probably a little slow for my taste usually, but since I was just sitting back and barely hanging onto the wheel, I was just fine with it. And this was all while towing my RZR and in tow mode, so I was pretty shocked at how well it did. I meant to take a video but it was a bit much to keep tabs on it and everything else going on. I was letting it do its thing, but very cautiously as they are steep hills, but had zero issue with it.

Back to my point, that area is much, much more populated, thus more cars, equalling more data, so I imagine the Ford mothership has a better handle on areas like that and what speeds to go and when. Just my theory.

I have heard of the frontage road speed sign issue, my mom deals with it daily on her commute in her Explorer. Luckily where I am I rarely get to deal with it unless I'm in areas like that.

I do have connected Nav enabled. Use it about half the time.. Google maps the other half.

Your 23 Lariat and my 21 Platinum behave very differently approaching a turn or a speed reduction. This confirms my suspicion that while PSA was switched on... It wasn't functioning for some reason.

From OTA perspective I am completely up to date. I wonder if I have some FDRS updates lurking. I will post on VIN lookup and see. An other changes that you did to enable PSA?

Gotcha, in that case the main brunt of it is done in the IPMA, the APIM is just the gateway that enables it, which you most likely need the BC 1.2 or newer software, which all 23's came with from the factory. 21-22s haven't got that yet and from the sounds of it will just go straight to BC 1.3 software when it becomes available. I didn't make any other changes anywhere to enable it, so makes me believe it is very newer software driven like I stated way back when.

Been thinking more about what you said. I previously thought that the 21s 22s 23s were being synced up software wise. So 23s have bluecruise 1.2... Does that mean that you can do the lane change trick?

Thread followers - Seems we can assume PSA doesn't work on 21s at this time.. Has anyone with a 22 tried it?

Trying to remove black box when using rearview camera while driving.
APIM....7D0-02-02 xxx* xxxx xx--
I changed it from 0 to 1, even tried to reset APIM afterwards with no luck
2022 F150 Tremor 3.5 402a.

Any ideas why the black box is still there?
I've added anti-glare lighting, and bambi mode, and engine temps on gauge cluster

What does your about sync show for software? I got sync 980 today which was 6.2 in the MME, but someone else said they got 6.2 but have older sync version. This is mine

Unfortunately the side view cameras still don't work (known issue w/ 22s) which I was hoping would suddenly start working.

These are the files from my APIM that showed up today through FDRS. Perhaps @Jesse-Infotainment can shed some light on them.

No, would need to have BC in order to use that, along with the other 1.2 enhancements, and I don't have it on my truck.

Here is a video of what PSA acts like when you go into decreasing speed signs.

This the feature that slows down for curves?
Only works when you have the option turned on to follow the signs?
