dafish,
FWIW, I know people that tow a lot and truck salespeople that don’t know what that yellow sticker is.
I have been ignorant!
I had Sequoias around 2000, before the jump in size. Towed around 6400# boat/trailer plus extra junk in boat- multiple anchors, floor Jack, extra spare, and anything my wife wanted. In the vehicle my wife, me and 6 full grown boys. Small back storage- packed! Loaded roof carrier.
I can’t find payload specs, but tow capacity max 6500#. So max payload 650-925#. I had over 1200# of people!, forget cargo & trailer.
No trouble and no close encounters.
Some how I learned about Equalizer WDH (internet was not as robust then).which saved me.
I am NOT advocating overloading, but I am pretty sure most people out there are not reading this forum. I have not met the truck salesperson peddling WDH and payload specs yet.

I'm debating between ordering a new '23 and finding a good used '22 at the right price. Harder then you'd think, some of these guys think silly stuff about used. Anyway, I spotted this on a '22 Max Tow PB LB w/tow mirrors:

Worked pretty hard to get a great towing rig only to fumble at the finish line. Brutal.

FWIW, I've looked at a few now and this is a new low for available payload. Wowza! Guess we know why it's called a half-ton truck!
What's good? Or average for a PB 157"?
Too lazy to go look at mine right now.

probably somewhere around 1600 for a 4x4 would be considered pretty good.

You'd be surprised at how much a good F150 can handle...

...and how much it can't!
Oh, what's the big deal with that pic? With 4 wheels on the ground, it passes inspection, right??

I'm curious how much higher this rating would be if had just the 3.5EB. That battery on the PB has to be heavy.

Yeah, physics class enters the chat. But that do give us the choice to have many options that owners have come to desire or to have no options with big payload or a balance of both. I chose#3 with my XLT 302a package with lots of options and medium payload of 1553#. I used that as my cutoff between what I "need" and what I could live without. I don't need my truck lifting my tailgate for me, etc.

Battery is around 80#i think(could be off a bit). However the other components, inverter, coolant system, motor, extra modules, generator all get up there. Easy enough to see what an avg 3.5 weighs vs PB, my PB is around 5890 I imagine, vs same non hybrid probably 52-5300. It's a lil hefty, but the aluminum body may be why other makes (except Toyota)haven't tried hybrid. It's probably why the PB mops the floor with the Toyota.

That battery is so much more tiny than many imagine.

And think about how much battery could there possibly be if all the electronics (BMS/Contacts/fuses) as well as the water cooling passages, and the cells themselves are packed into a box that retails for ~$2000?

1.5 KWH
It's amazing all the utility that Ford manages to get out of leveraging that Itty bitty "Hybrid battery"

From what I'm seeing a nicely configured KR/Plat is in the mid 1400's, somebody with more money than sense can get one into the 1000's, and lightly loaded features could get into the 1600's

157"? Dunno. Such a unicorn (which I covet) it's hard to call.

Well I just went and looked and I'm at 1260. So I guess that's pretty low?
Could a lot of that be the Platinum 20-in tires and rims? That's usually a pretty fast way to lower your load limit
