Whoa cowboy. That's next level vehicle there. It's awesome that you consider it the PB's closest competitor because I completely agree lol!

Well he's a fan of a farming school so perhaps his needs revolve around farming. :poop: :ROFLMAO: ?

The jury is still out for me. I want to love my '23 PB, but I'm only 2500 miles in and its already left me stranded once with no explanation (please stop safely error). I've had several times where the radio/infotainment screen doesn't seem to start properly and then 'reboots' after about 2 minutes then I can finally work the controls. My mileage seems better so far. I'm getting about 21 mpg on average.

All I wanted was a Blue (Antimatter), 6.5ft Plat, EB, that actually had the parts that made it a Platinum. The only one I could find was a PB. Ive used the Gen twice for very short durations and I am averaging 21.7mpg which blows doors on my previous '11 EB and '15 EB. I tow my boat to and from lake and jet skis, to and from lake, every year. Basically, 4 tows per year.
If I could get a 2.7L EB in 6.5' bed with a Plat, I really would just buy that. My main driving is to coffee every morning and Home Depot and then the lake place in the summer. Otherwise, its just a comfortable car for me.

Imagine if you will a bed that can go from 5.5 to 7.5 via slides and little door thingies with telescoping driveshaft. Is that too much to ask for? The larger bed wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for parking. That's the appeal for the 5.5 screw is that it's good-nuff for parking. Though having a few degrees of articulation in the rear wheels (rear wheel steering) would be nice too.

I'm not desiring to minimize the drama of the stop safely event. But technically it didn't strand you. It DID hold you hostage at the scene for a while. :)

I was an early adopter. I had just moved from Florida to Michigan and I thought the Powerboost with the 7.2kw gen would be a no brainer backup home genny. I had been using a generator plenty often in Florida during my 27 years there during hurricanes and tropical storms. I didn't want to store gas in the garage just for the generator. All my outside equipment is battery operated. Anyway, using a Powerboost is not a simple inexpensive option. No other need for a generator.
I can cover the problems I had but even if it was trouble free I would would still have regretted buying it.
Had I bought a King Ranch 3.5l Ecoboost instead, I might still be driving a Ford.....

I loved my 22 PB for 16,000 miles and then I got the dreaded “stop safely now” and it’s been at the shop for over two weeks. Waiting for a back ordered part they aren’t even sure is going to fix it. And no known date when the part will become available.

Luckily for me the truck stranded me at home in Tennessee and not in Florida with my family the week before. That would have been horrible.

When I get the truck back, and if it proves to be a one off, I’ll write off this as growing pains of technology. But my bad experience so far with the dealer and supply chain issues, make me think Ford is building vehicles they don’t have infrastructure to support.

Time will tell. I really did love driving it and it was pulling me away from my loyalty to Toyota.

If I'm somewhere and the vehicle wont start and I have to have somebody come pick me up and take me home...thats stranded ;). I'm not ready to give up on it yet though, still has 2 strikes to go.

I thought I read where you got the alert and an hour later it started. I must have misunderstood.

True..I gave it 30 minutes, went home and searched the trusty forums..then went back for round 2. I dont think I did anything magical when it did finally start, just pushed the button and it fired up. Its a strange issue.
