Fully agree. I added LED bulbs on my 2013 and it made a huge difference, looking forward to the XLT to arrive, even if I can’t enable glare free.
I think not only will you not be disappointed, you may even be impressed

Oh, I’m thinking of getting a NOCO Genius 10A charger/Maintainer etc. So, if I connect the positive to the battery and the negative to the truck’s ground, my accessory shouldn’t switch off and I can program through ODB until my heart’s content? Without fear of the truck shutting off during programming? That’s my biggest concern. Thanks in advance

Enabled it on my 23 Platinum and I think it's working? It's kind of hard to tell if it is. I have the option and the green A headlight on the gauge cluster. I just have a hard time telling if it is actually working. Will have to drive about a bit more at night unless there's an actual easy way to test it.

With a little FORScan work you can have them today if you have the projector LED headlights. I’ve been running them for about a month on my Tremor and I agree they are amazing compared to the medieval auto high beams the US trucks have default
Do you have to have the adaptive LED headlights or just the projector LED's?
Thanks,

They must be the adaptive headlights only found on top trim levels. 502a, 402a, etc.

If your headlights don't turn/bend when you turn the steering wheel, then you can't get the glare free

Accessory mode will still turn off with a charger connected, eventually. I have the exact charger you are thinking of getting and use it when I do forscan stuff.

The first time I ever used forscan I took a backup of every module which took a long time and the truck turned off about halfway through all the backups. The benefit is you aren't draining your battery doing forscan updates.

For most regular forscan changes it wants you to cycle the ignition anyway.

They are most likely working as intended, when I first got my Lariat I didn’t really catch when the high beams would come on as there is no “flash”. Near as I can tell with the adaptive headlights the high beams gradually get brighter. I have also noticed that when meeting a car they don’t seem to dim, they move to the right and tip down. Being that I am in Canada the adaptive feature was turned on from the factory and is one of my favourite features on my truck.

If you can find yourself in just the right circumstances you can see something that your Antiglare headlights are doing that you have NEVER seen before.

I live down a 2.5 mile long dark rural road. No shoulder on the road, mildly deep drainage ditches on both sides, but it's the trees and forestry on both sides that are the tell tail for the amazing lighting.

So it's dark and I'm the only vehicle on the road, the LEDs are at full tilt and I am at 36-37mph. The asphalt is lit. The ditches on both sides are lit. And the tree line separating two property lines on the left side of the road are lit up say.... 50 yards to the left. If there's a similar tree line on the right, it would be equally lit. The whole scene is so much brighter and wide angle than any Ford truck I have ever had. It's a really good light pattern.

Suddenly an incoming car will turn onto the road at a considerable distance. I witness what appears as an automatic diminishing of forward lightning. What's actually obvious is that the light being cast down the straight asphalt road DID reduce the distance it was casting. Especially onto the oncoming vehicles side of the asphalt.
But! Look closely at a couple of things. Look at the tree line on the left side of the road! The light is still being cast just as far and just as high as it was when there was no car coming.
Look to the right side of the landscape. It's the same.

If you look carefully, you will see that everywhere except a pie slice is still being lit like the oncoming car isn't there. The point of the pie slice starts AT the left headlight, in this case. I'm sure it's also being participated in by the right headlight as well, but less obvious because it isn't "curtaining" as dramatically in this instance.

This road is very much the perfect environment to make what is happening obvious to the eye, once you notice that the headlights are still casting like a high beam to the LEFT of the oncoming vehicle. From then on you can't unsee it. :)

Having said all that, I'm sure this technology is in play everywhere I go, but it's far more subtle on most better lit roads. And all but unnoticeable on well lit roads. Ironically it's the driver in the oncoming vehicle that is noticing it the most, but to them it just seems like you are a courteous driver with no Glare in their eyes.
Adaptive Driving Beam, or Glare Free High Beam as it is called in the rest of the world, is an amazing feature that OEM's here in US have been working on getting approved for sale. Still a work in progress, as the regulations do not allow for an easy transition to allow it yet in US.

They are, they were approved late 2022. For whatever reason manufacturers are holding off on full implementation

Because just like everything we can't just use those standards - we have to write our own standards for them that are diffenet than the ones approved for the rest of the world.

The good news is with the right headlight system you can implement them yourself legally now

I think the adaptive lighting is stuck in a grey area right now. It is no longer illegal in the US, but there's also no standards/specifications stating what is legal either. Until manufacturers know what they can/can't do, you won't be able to buy a car with it enabled from the factory here (most likely).

I agree they are amazing, I enabled them on my last vehicle as well as my F-150. One you have a vehicle with them it is difficult to drive one without it.
