How well does your BLIS work for your long travel trailer?

Just got my 2023 PowerBoost w/Max Tow and first time towing a travel trailer that measures 33' 8" long (to hitch ball). I set my trailer length to 33' in the setting, which is the max that BLIS is supposed to work for. I'm wondering if it can really work on a 33' enclosed type trailer like a 8' wide walled travel trailer, as there is no line of sight to the end of the trailer since the front wall blocks it. So how can the radar sense a car that is just crossing the rear of a 33' trailer?

I think if you diagrammed it, the adjacent car has width, and I'm guessing that the radar can see that portion of the car a few feet less than the full 33'. Perhaps the 33' will work if the trailer has no body blocking the radar path?

So I'm just curious if people want to compare and describe their trailer type and length and how well they think it works. I'm not expecting perfection and I'm glad I have it, better than nothing, but just interested in how well it works for others? thanks!

Our travel trailer is 8 feet wide and 25 feet long (from the hitch).

Bliss coverage is excellent!

It takes a bit of the load off when towing.

My trailer is a short 24.5' long and and definitely works ............ much of the time. For whatever the reason, at times it does not. At times I will get the BLISS symbol with an X across it, in the upper left corner of the instrument cluster

I will 2nd this. Similar length travel trailer. BLIS has been brilliant when combined with the tow mirrors so far. Love it.

My boat and trailer is 27’ long. BLIS works well. There always seems to be that jackass that thinks he has to be just inside that 27” length. BLIS makes changing lanes less stressful.

I tow a similar size camp trailer to the OP with the same settings, and my BLIS has never been good at picking up vehicles at the back end of the trailer.. it will light up when they are about half way up the trailer

The radar is in the corner of the taillight. With you trailer on, visually look at where you can and cannot see the outside corner of the taillight. That will show you the best case scenario of where it can see. Just be sure to enter you trailer variables properly.
