I was at the dealer when they pulled the axles out, and I had him check the diff fluid level. He stuck his finger in and it went down about the first section of his finger or so.
Got the new -K and -L nutted axles installed and when the dealer first took off the axles I went up there and had them check the diff fluid level, he put his finger in and was able to touch it with the first fingertip joint, so not too low. It had an axle seal destroyed which leaked out the...
Thanks for that info! Have many failures been reported that also had diff fluid leaking out and spraying around, as I have had? It doesn't seem like it but I don't follow this closely.
Moving my followup to this thread, should be getting the real remedy just announced, the -K and -L half axles, the "nutted ones", replacing the bolted ones that shear...

I posted a question in

...without tainting the answers in this PB axle thread... ... and the general consensus was I had grease/oil...
Well... turns out it was the dreaded wheel end hub bolt failure on the max tow 3/4 float axle. I have been listening for - but never heard - the bolt rattling around, but the dealer said it fell out when they removed the tire. But get this, the half shaft has gotten into a position such that...
2023 PB w/ Max Tow. Has 16,000 miles over 2 years, only used for towing a 7000# trailer.
On a recent trip I noticed grease has been flung all over, coming from somewhere near the right rear axle. I have not taken anything apart. My first thought was the NHTSA campaign 23V-896 for sheared rear...
I am reporting that I found the fault in the TPMS system. A wire got cut near the hitch and it's fixed now. My awesome ProPride hitch has a plate and during a very sharp turn it pinched the wire. Thankfully it was easy to find.
Well there's more...
The trailer camera and TPMS both went out and both were fixed when the fuse was fixed.
But then a couple days later during a rainstorm I got a Fail message that the TPMS stopped working. The message is a new thing. And it hasn't worked again for 2 days. Any ideas?
I finally found where the Enhanced packages are, and I already had the 2022 downloaded which is what I manually set my vehicle settings to.
I just now downloaded the 2023 as well but no difference. Is there some way to redownload or start over, without losing my dashboard?
It was all working...
I was out looking while you posted. Yes I think it wasn't that complicated after all.
I'll let you know! Thanks for your quick response, never could have got that from stopping at a dealer I feel.
I think I found it. The owners manual built-in to Sync helped me find fuse 25 in the engine compartment, since there is nothing in the fuse lid showing anything at all. It was indeed blown!
It's raining or I would have swapped a different one in for 25 just to see. I'll wait until morning...
Help I'm on a long awaited RV trip driving the next 5 days Amarillo, Dallas , etc to Florida and can't research this easily. TIA.
Short question: Where exactly is the fuse for the round trailer connector for the harness for the rear trailer camera and TPMS? Pictures or details would be SO...
I'm not close to following you.
I don't see anything like
"Ford/Lincoln/Mercury-Powertrain Control Module"
I don't see Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, where is that?
I don't see any kind of <>Module at all.
Where is this?
