Been over a year and a half since I looked at the OBDLink app, and now many PIDs on my dashboard no longer work and display 0's. I'm not sure what to do.
Short question: where is the PID for the Transmission Temperature found, and in what version (be specific, do I need an app upgrade and/or a PID upgrade, and how? do I let the VIN check work or override the year ( I have a 2023 PBoost).
Long Question:
I set up my android Pixel 7 about Spring of 2023 and at that time followed your guys lead and even though I had a 2023 Powerboost I ended telling the app it was a 2022. So I think that means I overrode the VIN. But I am leaving on a big towing trip in 3 days and want to get it fixed.
Here is a pic of my own dashboard, and you can see half of them don't find any PID.
For starters, I need the Transmission Temperature, it used to be the PID called "Transmission Fluid Temperature".
I'm afraid to tweak it cuz it will change it to something else if it can't find this old one, then I'll lose the old name. Also I have a backup .stg file I just exported cuz I think I'm about to break it.
I think you can see from the image, what I'm trying to locate (12v vs EV(traction) volts, amps, soc).
thanks!
If I search for "temp" I find a bunch of intake and exhaust, catalyst, ambient, and engine coolant, but nothing like transmission.
I also can't figure out how to force it to re-read the VIN and get whatever the latest version of PIDs are - how do I do that or should I?
These pics show my screen back when it was working, and what it looks like now when it isn't working...
