Loaded a 2023 Powerboost KingRanch VIN.

Holy cow.
Compare just the availability difference in Ford/Lincoln/Mercury add-ons

Wait!

Ok, can someone load this PID on your 2023 and report whether it really is what I think it might be?

If it is, you will see it fluctuating numerically rather quickly.

Wait is the right word. How many hours scrolling through the PCM PID's before you found it? ;)

There is a lot of gold to mine in those PID's but they really make you work to get them.

I found that one using "search" and word "oil".

It's amazing that you can scan a 2023 VIN, but override the model year, and all the 2022 PIDs with the smaller library is available.

But you can't do the reverse: load a 2023 VIN and of course manually select 2023 for the year model, but then when you connect to the adapter you do not have the 2023 expanded library available to choose from. (skipping the scan, of course. Which auto selects everything)

It's so odd that the 2023 truck is so different in the app. I wonder what's behind the change?

It searches ALL modules and lists results in a "bundle" per module

I'm SO ready to geek out for hours in the truck if I can figure out how to get a 2022 to map to the 2023 lists.

It may not be possible, of course, but I would be surprised if Ford completely changed/overhauled the can bus for 2023. But maybe they did?

I wish I better understood how this stuff works.
My 2022 HAS THE OIL PRESSURE PID.
And it functions perfectly using my Ngauge or Forscan. It's just not included in the OBDLink 2022 library, AND I don't know how to "sniff" out the PID address or formula.

I found the address and formula for OAR (octane adjust ratio) on a Ford Focus ST forum and used the OBDLink "User Defined Pid" tool to create the PID. Works perfectly!

This is the information you need to create a PID that's missing from the library: (OBD info & formula)

I started messing around with this today after receiving a FordPass notification about remote features being disabled due to low battery. Turns out I was at 40% SOC and an hour of idling only got me to 55%. While doing this idling I was sorely tempted to try the 2023 PIDs.

Looks like for $5000, I could get my hands on the PIDs? ?

May be easier just to buy a 2023 PB.

I got a few PID's working with the 2023 PIDs returning same values with different names. So I think the PID's are the same in 2022 and 2023, there are just more PID's in 2023 and some of the old ones have new names.
