There are wiper motors to repair failed units, just not enough to replace everyone's non-failed.
Are they replacing a failed unit with the same unit or an updated replacement unit?

Just received my recall notice yesterday in the mail for my 2022 XL built 1 July 2022.

I spoke with my dealer this AM and he told the notification was sent to a large group if not everyone. But they still have to validate the serial # of the wiper motor to confirm if you are hit by the recall.

Got mine today, '21, built 12/9/2021.
What a colossal joke. "Safety issue, we'll fix it 9 months from now."

Ya just great. So if my 90 grand KR busts the wiper motor , technically my truck needs to be off the road until repaired. If this happens I’ll request Ford grabs one from a truck coming off the line and air mail it to my dealer. Like that would happen.

No fix until "in the third quarter of 2023" That means I was planning a long road trip from Houston to parts unknown in the upper west and back but not now. Thanks Ford.

Got a recall on my 2015 Expedition back in the summer too and Ford still hasn’t gotten the parts. So I’m betting it will be fall 2023 before they get the part for the F150s.

Got my recall letter today.

Up to two, still waiting on one for the axle bolt.

Add me to the list. Got the notice today as well. At least they work fine for me and with the Rain-X washer fluid, it wouldn't really matter much if they stopped working.

I read through all the documents on the NHTSA website about the wiper recall and the Ford analysis predicted 1-2% failure rate over 5 years of service on about 450,000 trucks. I have my fingers crossed I don't have the failure but the odds are pretty good. I'm not going top stop driving the truck and wait until the 3rd quarter hoping for motors for replacement.

And based on my experience with another recall which the dealer screwed up, I'm not even sure I'll get this one done unless the motor develops the failure.
