  1. Taking Two set of keys when road trip traveling....

Makes sense, lots of people lock their keys in the truck when hiking etc. using the keypad. I normally lock with the fob or button on the handle and I'm pretty sure if you do that with an unwrapped key fob in the truck it will tell you or refuse to lock.
  2. Taking Two set of keys when road trip traveling....

FYI, two layers of aluminum foil wrapped around a key fob does the same thing as a faraday bag. You can try it by wrapping the fob and putting it on the console then exit and lock the truck with the door button, keypad or first fob. The truck doesn't see the second fob and locks normally...
  3. Front Parking Sensors

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think my 2021 Lariet 502A has front parking sensors. I've never seen them in the set up menu and I can't find them in the package descriptions from 2021. I think the sensors in the front bumper are for the accident/ precollision alert and emergency braking system.
  4. 🌧️Let Visibility Reign with OEM, DIY Automatic Rain Sense in your F-150 [by Infotainment]

I tried Rain Sensing for about a week on my 2021 Lariat. Seemed to come on when the windshield was dry and not come on when wet. refused to speed up when more water on the windshield. Too frustrating to use so I turned it off and just use the adjustable, intermittent wiper settings which work...
  5. Anyone change their own oil?

Thank you for posting the pic and funnel recommendation. I did an oil change yesterday with the "twist lock into the oil fill tube funnel" I bought on Amazon and it didn't work very well. The funnel is too small and when you try to pour the oil from a 5 liter container it starts to come out...
  6. Rubbing noise when reversing with the wheel turned at full lock?

Check the wheel well liner. Mine was deformed and stuck out enough to contact the tire at full left lock. I drilled a hole in it and used a couple zip ties to pull it back toward the frame and it stopped the noise. There was a hole already there so I didn't have to drill the metal frame.
  7. 5.0L V8 Oil change with Raptor skid plate

You might try what I do, I use a light clamp or masking tape to hold the cardboard tube from a used up roll of paper towels over back outlet of the oil filter tray down past the frame to a collection pan. This prevents any oil from getting on the frame as it drains.
  8. Anyone change their own oil?

I'd love to see a picture of how you get those funnels to stay in the oil fill on the 5.0L that comes out of the valve cover at a what must be a 30-40 degree angle.
  9. Clunk noise on acceleration

Just in case you are hearing the same thing as me, when I fill my 36 gallon gas tank I hear a thump from the rear end of the truck until the tank goes down to about 3/4 full. I assume it's the gas sloshing against a baffle in the tank when nearly full.
  10. Anyone change their own oil?

I had a friend who worked for a dealership for a while. The techs loved it when customers brought in their own full synthetic oil. The techs would keep the synthetic for their own vehicles and use the shop 55 gallon drum of generic conventional oil for the customer's oil change. Pretty much...
  11. ‘24 5.0 Oil Filler Extension Tube

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBTTJNKX?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 I got this on Amazon. I had to use a heat gun to soften and re-shape the blue part a little so it would clear the wires on the battery.
  12. Did Dealer overfill my oil?

Easiest way is some sort of vacuum, a collection can or jar and a thin tube down the dipstick tube. Maybe a vacuum brake bleeder? I have a small electric vacuum pump I can connect to a bottle with a stiff hose that will fit in the dipstick tube.
  13. 2024 Dynamic Bending headlight adjustment

That "Dynamic Leveling" refers to the height adjuster on the rear axel which will change the angle of the headlights as weight is added to the bed raising the front of the truck. You will need to reverse the procedure the dealer used to lower the "base" aim of the headlights back to stock...
  14. 10 Hidden Features of the 2025 F-150

All modern vehicles have "pressurized" fuel systems. It prevents gasoline vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. They have sensors that will throw a code if they sense no pressure in the system.
  15. Any tips for a clean oil change on the V8?

I tape an empty paper towel role center cardboard tube over the rear tray drain to get all the oil to flow past the suspension and frame parts and into the catch pan. I also put a "form a funnel" under the front tray drain and into a second drain pan and pack paper towels around the back of the...
  16. Road salt removal techniques, wash that crap off!

I suspect the "Salt Remover" is nothing more than soap and water. Salt (Sodium Chloride or Magnesium Chloride) is a very stable molecule, if you "break it down" to neutralize it you get Sodium or Magnesium and Chlorine, all very reactive and much more corrosive than the salt itself. Salt...
  17. Next gen F150 100% American Made / Cost [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

We seize the steel mills and declare they are now US property. It's not like a foreign army is going to invade the US and dismantle the mills and take them home.
  18. Next gen F150 100% American Made / Cost [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS & INSULTING BEHAVIOR]

Domestic steel production for one week: In the week ending on November 23, 2024, domestic raw steel production was 1,655,000 net tons while the capability utilization rate was 74.5 percent
  19. Leaves Trapped Between Bed and Cab

I use a 3' flexible "claw thing" that you use to pick up small parts you drop in places you can't reach. Works OK but takes some time.
